A homecoming

She led him down the stairs to an underground parking lot where she opened the door to a Mustang GT.

"Nice ride," he said as he got in. She blushed prettily.

"Thanks, my parents bought it as a present for me." She started the car and pulled it out of the parking lot as she asked him directions to his house. She was a good if slightly reckless driver and it wasn't long before she turned onto his street.

Seeing his house in darkness, Hunter directed her to pull into the driveway. He opened the door and stepped out of the car and was leaning in to thank Lyndsey when the front door of his house burst open and Jess ran out.

"Hunter! Oh My God Hunter!" she wailed with relief as she ran to him. She was wearing pyjama shorts and one of his t-shirts, her feet bare as she scampered across the lawn to embrace him.

"Oh my God I was so worried. Oh my God you're safe, I was so scared." She buried her face in his chest, her hands clinging to him tightly as she pressed her body against his. "I just saw your text, just now and I was going to call you but then the car pulled up and you're here. You're here and safe, oh my God I'm so happy."

Hunter held her, making soothing noises as he stroked her back.

Jess suddenly looked up at him, confusion marking her pretty face. "But what are you wearing? And who is that?" she asked as Lyndsey stepped out of the car and stood looking at the embracing couple.
