A helpful secretary

Just then, David's secretary Jennifer entered the room and looked at both David and Jim with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.

"Alright folks," Jennifer said, "It's time for you two to get digitized!"

David nervously took a deep breath while Jim gave him a reassuring nod.
"Oh boy, I can't believe we are doing this!" he said as he looked at the computer screen where both of their new bodies were on display.

Both David and Jim grinned at each other, ready to take the plunge into digital form. Jennifer powered up The Digitizer, and gave it a quick test run. Satisfied that everything was in working order, she stepped back and gestured for David and Jim to step forward.

"One at a time, please," she said gently. "We don't want anything going wrong."

David nodded, took a deep breath, and stepped right into the beam of light emanating from The Digitizer. For a brief moment, he felt an odd sensation coursing through his body, as if he was being stripped down to his very atoms and then rebuilt again in a completely new form.

And then it was done. David looked down at himself - or rather, at his new digital avatar - and let out a whoop of excitement.

"You did it!" he shouted to Jennifer and Jim, grinning from ear to ear. "This is amazing!"
