A girl in a hijab

Standing on the platform, Misty took the utmost care to keep herself on the floating platform. While it probably would've been better to go with her regular swimsuit. But it was too late now to really go and change.

"As-Salam-U-Alaikum." a voice announced and Misty's gaze bounced about the entrance of the gym. Eventually, it settled upon a girl dressed in a modest blue dress and matching hijab.

"As-Salam-U-Alaikum, welcome to the Cerulean City Gym." Misty greeted and took a moment to compose herself. While she had not taken any challengers in the last couple days, she hoped that her outfit would put the challenger at ease. Or at least, show the kind of lifestyle she wished to achieve. "Are you here to challenge the gym?"

The girl nodded and took care to make sure her hijab hadn't shifted in the process.

"I didn't know you wished to become a muslim, Misty." the girl explained and received a nod from her challenger in return. What looked to be a smile followed. "I'm so happy to hear that."

After saying that, the girl pulled out a pokeball. Misty did something similar.
