Vincent adjusts his glasses. "Well, I did have a thought," he says.

"She's married," you object.

Vincent looks at you over his glasses and raises his eyebrows.

"Oh, all right, I see your point," you tell your husband. "But she has a girlf..." Cara, who'd left to go back home to nurse a concussion. "Or maybe not."

Julie had been carrying on an illicit affair with Cara Volsky, one of the nursing students working at the hospital as a volunteer. A sexual encounter in a carelessly parked car had sent them on runaway trip down a hillside that injured both of them. Julie was still on leave with a broken collarbone, and Cara had left the volunteer program, complaining of vertigo and other aftereffects of a concussion.

Vincent laughs. "You should talk with Julie before she goes back to work and that lesbian cabal gets their hooks in her. At least it'll give her someone to talk to."

"You know, Vincent, that's a better idea than I was expecting out of you. So why are you egging me on?"

He dips his head bashfully. "I was hoping you might hit it off with her," he says. "I met her at one of those hospital events you took me to, and she really lit up when she was talking to me about you." He looks off to the side. "When you told me about that meeting at your supervisor's office, well, I wished I could have seen it. Not Frances or Cara or June so much, but you and Julie."

You lick your lips and swallow. Julie was delicious, and it felt so good when she came on your tongue. Your cheeks feel hot. Vincent's face seems a little pink too, and his thin slacks display a stiff erection.

"I think...I think I'll have to do something about your suggestion," you tell Vincent. "At least I know Julie can't be shy...well, not in front of other women, anyway."
