“Hey! Check that out,” said a punk with a purple Mohawk on his head. “Looks like one of the gangs got that copper real good.”

“Hon, we should help her out,” replied her green haired girlfriend.

“No, wait, hold on. I recognize that bitch.” He walked up to Rebecca. The bound cop realized she had company and let out a muffled yelp.

“Fancy meeting you like this detective. Remember me?” He stepped up and ripped the duct tape off her mouth.

“...No. But you look like a …good citizen ready to help a damsel in distress?”

“As a matter of fact, I …WE are all good citizens, despite what you think. Yet you treated us like common criminals.”

Despite her predicament, Rebeca couldn’t help but to roll her eyes. She had this conversation entirely too many times already. “Graffiti is still vandalism. The law is the law..”

“So you do remember! I spent a whole month in jail! And worse, so did my little brother. He wasn’t made for that kind of environment. All because you couldn’t just let it go...”
