A free man!

"Have you calmed down, kid?"

"I am calm."

He opens the door. "Come on, get out."

"Just like that?" you ask, unconvinced.

"Don't blame us, kid; you were acting erratic. Who knew what you could do? Now go and take a shower and clean yourself." You slowly rise and walk out, stopping for a brief moment when you get next to him. "It seems something is going on, kid; just let us take care of things. If Jenny is with them, we'll fix things and bring her back. Don't act rashly and put her in danger for no reason!"

"Ok!" is all you say as you make your way towards the shower, where you clean yourself nicely. When you open the door and prepare to leave, you find Mia standing there, worried.

"Are you ok, Max?

"I'm fine." You say as you continue to walk past her.

"If you need anything, call me Max, I am a friend! Remember that Max!" she yells.

Once outside, you remember that you ran here, so you'll have to walk back home. Once home, you eat something and take a quick nap. When you wake up, you decide that you can't just wait for things to solve themselves, so you pick up the trail where you left it. And that is Leyla's mom. For the next few days, you stalk the woman and realise that she sucks as a human being. She flaunts her money everywhere, and she acts like everyone is beneath her.

You finally get lucky and see that she went into a restaurant, where a military man joined her at her table. You decide that this is something that you'll want to hear, so you decide that it's worth the risk of getting seen to hear it.

"Welcome, sir! Do you have a reservation?" asks a cute waitress.

"No, but I'd like a nice window table for one." You say this as you pass her a 100$ bill.

"Of course, sir, please follow me!" She says this as she brings you to a table that is close to where Amanda is staying. Of course, she sees you, so you smile and nod your head toward her. You can hear them talking.

"Who is that?" the man asks.

"He's my daughter's friend!"

"What a coincidence!"

"What a bad day... I didn't want him to see me here."

You order some food and keep looking at your phone, scrolling up and down, pretending to pay attention to it, but in fact, you listen really carefully to what they talk about. Werewolves sure have their advantages.

"So did you prepare what I asked for?"

"Yes, it's already in the car."

"Good, once we're done, you'll have a place in the capital, and you'll probably be the most powerful female in the world, haha "

Amanda's face lights up, surely imagining her glorious future. "I can't believe that little bitch is a monster! I keep telling Leyla to stay away from her, but she doesn't listen!"

"Yeah, you are a great mother. Kids should listen to their parents more."

You almost smashed the knife when she mentioned the monster. It seems you hit the jackpot. It takes all your strength not to go over there and beat the shit out of her.

"She's got a new boyfriend now, and he's a sleazy bastard; I don't know what she saw in him..."

"She is probably just playing with him; I wouldn't worry too much!"

"What if he's a monster too? In fact, I remember seeing him with that bitch. Actually, I think he is friends with him too; what if he's a monster too?" she says looking towards you.
