What have you spotted?
A fortuneteller
As you walk down the road, you see a tent set up, a ways back, outside an orchard. A wagon stands next to it, and a small hand-lettered sign reads:
"Fortunes told; come see yours."
You were never much one for fortunes before, but you are in a land of magic now, so maybe it's worth checking out. You walk over, and duck your head, to peer under the tent flap. It's dark inside, and you blink as your eyes adjust from the sun outside. You see a woman, seated at a small round table, a crystal ball in front of her.
She's wearing a dress, black and purple and fringed with lace, with a bright vest overtop. Her hair is long and dark, and her features pale and thin. She looks almost but not quite elfin, though her ears look round enough. Her green eyes pierce you, and you feel as though you're about to fall into them, when she breaks into a grin and invites you to step into her tent.
"Welcome traveller. I am Ellit, mistress of the mysteries. How can I help you today?
