A few more presentations

Right after Cathy and Sarah we moved on to the next one which was very boring bur after that one Mariah called Matthew to come to the front, he seemed very excited to go to the front and as he walked to Mariah the boys and i cheered for him and gave him a few pats on the back to motivate him. He met up with his partner at the front of the class, he had chosen Paul who was a fairly popular guy in school, he seemed like a friend of Matthew so they had a good flow going on - like Quincy and Caleb, Matthew used his good humor to make a hilarious presentation, they chose the topic of "Why lenght doesn't matter" as soon as they named their topic everyone started laughing. I was surprised to seee that they put a lot of effort into this presentation as they gave a lot of statistics around penis size and how it affects when it comes to actual sex - they were clearly trolling and just being funny but they actually talked about a lot of stuff and they made their presentation both entertaining and useful as it was filled with jokes but also some information that, even though it looked fake, it seemed like the teachers were pleased by it. At the end we all gave them a big round of applause as their presentation was really funny, not as funny as Quincy and Caleb's but it was still hilarious nonetheless.

Now it was a very important moment that i was waiting to see, Mariah called Daisy to come to the front, her partner was May so i saw how both of them stood up and walked to the front, they seemed happy to do their presentation - they picked the topic of pregnancy, which surprised me a little, they were very calm as they knew what they were doing and they managed to give a very extensive description of the process of pregnancy, they started by talking about menstruation and explaining why learning ythe cicle matters so you can know when are the days where a girl is fertile and everything, then they explained the act of having sex very briefly but then they described how a girl gets inseminated and for some reason i thought it was funny - May and Daisy were pretty serious about it but at one point Daisy looked at me and when she saw me chuckling for no reason she smiled, i thought that she at least was a bit bored with the presentation and she wanted to laugh a little but May was taking it vey seriously, like in a professional manner that i admired but it also bored me a little.

After explaining the process of getting pregnant they described each phase of pregnancy, sparing no detail and giving far too much information that, even though it was useful, it didn't get my attention that much - at that point Daisy wasn't talking as much as May, instead she let her partner do all of the talking as she seemed more interested to expose about the topic, May was the only one of the two that really liked talking about pregnancy, she was doing it with passion and with a cheerful tone to say that pregnancy was the best thing ever and that everyone should try it - she seemed very interested in this topic and even Mariah thought it was odd so she asked May "One question... what are your opinions on pregnancy? You seem very into this subject so i wanted to ask what are your views on it..." May thought about it for a little and then she started saying with a very happy tone

"I think pregnancy is the best, i really do... and i know that there are high pregnancy rates in this city and if we continue making babies then we won't be able to keep up with the demand of baby products, contraceptives and all the stufd that comes when having a baby... although i do think that the Babycare program that we have in this city will be very useful in the future and i trust their capabilities to provide every baby in this city with a roof, food and other resources so they can grow to be important members of our society... me personally, i would love to have children, i just find it very fun and just the thought of holding a baby makes me happy... i would consider myself as prepared in case i have a baby but unfortunately that's not the case with most teens... let's be honest, most people don't even know how babies are made and let alone know how to take care of one, that's why there are so many single mothers in this city... we need to teach people from an early age all of the consequences of pregnancy so they are able to raise their children in a healthy environment..." May was interrupted by Mariah who said in a very sweet voice "I love your enthusiasm, that's what sex ed is all about, honey... but can you teach us a little more about the consequences of pregnancy?" May looked around the class to see that everyone was paying attention to her, she got a bit nervous and she started flushing but she continued saying "Yes, of course... i would love to tell you all about it... so, you know there are risks when it comes to pregnancy, those could be health issues with the baby or lack of knowledge or experience in raising a child... you know there are also abortions that could happen for various reasons and even tragic miscarriages that have affected multiple poor women in this city..."

She continued talking about abortion or stuff like what a baby needs to grow up properly, i stopped paying attention because i started zoning out as i thought about May - she was very into this topic and i liked her determination to explain us all about pregnancy, i thought ot was funny that she was giving us a lesson about how to take care of a baby, when to know if it's safe to have a baby and all that stuff that was very useful and she did a good job at explaining. I was also very interested at the fact that she knew so much, she obviously did some research and she learned a lot but it seemed like pregnancy was one of the things that crossed her mind multiple times in the past, hell, even in the present she probably thinks about pregnancy a lot for sole reason Well she did say she wants to have children and she seems very excited for it... honestly i think she would be a great mother, she is very sweet, kind, funny, responsible and just imagining her with kids makes me want to... well i don't want to think too much about it but i am proud of her for doing such an amazing job at explaining everything related to pregnancy i said to myself.

She continued talking and now Daisy was not saying anything, she let May do all the work and she was just standing at the side akwardly, it was a long presentation but i generally liked it, it was very useful and even though i knew most of the stuff she was talking about i still learned a thing of two - first i learned that pregnancy rates are through the roof in this city and abortion is very rare, most abortions happen because the woman was raped but incest is very rarely a reason to kill the baby, and knowing for the presentation of the weird siblings i learned that incest was quite common here so that meant that most people that had sex with a relative kept the baby, i thought that was interesting but it was all because there was a very important program in this town that i heard before - the Babycare program gives money and resources to evey girl that gets pregnant in this city, that's a lot of girls, they do a good job at providing them with enough resources to raise the baby for about 5 years, it was a huge program that has influenced this city a lot, now every girl wanted to get pregnant because of that program as they would receive perks and money just for getting pregnant, i was curious because i thought it would be possible for me to get a couple of girls pregnant and just not take care of the baby, which was cruel, i know, but it was an interesting thing that i could do in this city. After May talked for like half an hour she finally ended her presentation as she said

"Well so now you know everything about pregnancy, i want you to remember this information because it would be very useful... what did we learn today? We learned that if you want to have a baby you need to learn a couple of things first to be prepared but basically in this city of you want to get pregnant you can just get pregnant, it's very safe to have a baby here and kinda profitable..." we all laughed and she continued saying playfully "So there you go... remember to stay safe but if you want... Go and make every baby in the world!!!" We all cheered for her very, very loudly- like we were screaming for our leader as it told us to start s revolution or something, May was very inspiring with her presentation and in this case she was our leader that ordered us to procreate as many times as we wanted to make wvery baby in the world, i thought it was very funny and the rest of the class thought that too, May was just blushing from the overwhelming support we were giving her, everyone agreed with her and i thought it was because they to wanted to make a bunch of babies, specially the guys, i knew they wanted to get a couple of girls with big bellies - i remembered something about the school a while ago, it was something like 7 out of 10 girls get pregnant at the first year of college in this city and i thought that was just amazing.

I just chuckled "Yea..." - knowing May she was probably going to wait an eternity for her first lover that she wants to be the one that she marries and has a child with, i knew that she probably wanted to get pregnant early so she could have more babies before the age of thirty but since she has such a bad luck of finding a boyfriend it was probably going to take her a few more years before she could get pregnant, i hoped it would be soon because i knew that would make her the happiest girl in the world.

The class took a very weird turn as Mariah called a guy named Thomas to come to the front - he was universally known for being a very akward kid that had a crush on every girl, literally eveyone, he didn't care what girl it was, he was just in love with every single one of them and he tried very hard to get their attention but since he was an anxious and insecure introvert he couldn't hold a normal conversation, now even with the teacher so you can imagine how well he would do with a presentation about sex in front of the whole class. Then Mariah, as she saw the time, she said "Well class, you can all leave for recess now, we will be back right after it and we'll continue with the rest of the presentations..." she was going to say something else but eveyone had already left the classroom - they probably didn't want to be near Thomas so they ran the fuck out of there and i didn't blame them, i actually did the same but i had to wait for Scarlet outside so we could go over our presentation and prepare ourselves as we were probably going to be the firsts at next class.
