A few late arrivals

"Not yet." Liara replied, "We still a few more guests arriving."

"Alright then..." Jane said, still nervous about her now shorter toga.

Dr. Chakwas was the next to arrive dressed in a blue and black uniform with a silver insignia on the top left. Jane was confused at first, and even more after Chakwas said she was a doctor from a ancient TV show she used to watch back in college. At Jane's confusion, she merely replied, "Ask your mother, she'll explain it."

Vega and Joker showed up next, the former carrying a keg under his arm. Joker was dressed as a zombie, but Vega's was a little weirder; a a long sleeve henley t-shirt with a pair of loose fit jeans paired with a belt buckle, a Shemagh scarf around his neck, a leather cuff bracelet, and a pair of Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars.

"Dare I ask, Vega?" Jane asked in confusion.

"Uh, Nathan Drake?" Vega responded. "He was really big with Earth years ago. Big name treasure hunter. Raided tombs."

"So... A male version of what Ashley came as?" Jane asked, gesturing to the woman in question.

A few seconds later, this somehow led to a small arguement between Ashley and Vega about which one was better, who'd win in a fight, etc. Jane merely rolled her eyes and said, "Sorry, I asked."

Next to arrive were Grunt and Wrex, neither clear on the concept of Halloween, as evidence by their lack of costumes, but willing to partake in a party nonetheless.

And finally there was Samantha who was dressed... In her underwear with leaves glued onto them and a rubber snake over her shoulders.

"Samantha?"

"I'm Eve! You know, Mrs. Adam?"

"..." Jane raised an eyebrow.

"Okay. So I had a costume ordered, but it accidentally sent me one three sizes too small. And I was running late, so I just glued leaves to my underwear and raced over." Samantha admitted, chuckling sheepishly. "I like your costume though. Some kind of goddess, right?"

"Athena, yes." Jane replied as she closed the door. "You're the first one to get it right. Jack must have done wonders with this makeup."

"JACK did you're makeup?!" Samantha asked in shock.

"What?! You don't think I can do that girly crap too?!" Jack called out, a little insulted.

"Well, now that everyone's here, let's get this party started!" Liara called out to the crowd.

Jane smiled as the crowd cheered. Things were actually going pretty well, and no one even noticed that she wasn't wearing anything underneath the toga.

And she hoped it remained that way...
