What's next?
A few days pass
Sasha’s uncle is generous to us. His apartment is small, but I’m happy just to have a roof over my head and something to eat.
We’ve been trying to find a way home, but it is no easy task. It’s much farther than we’ve come already. We couldn’t find a train or some other way to travel. There’s nothing for us to do except wait and hope that our army will stop the invasion.
I feel bored and cooped up in the apartment as a few days pass. There isn’t much to do to pass the time apart from talking and looking through my books. Despite our boredom, an air of anxiety looms over us and lives inside of our heads.
The news on the radio is troubling. The enemy has taken over Minsk, and they’re marching ever closer to us.
