A fantasy setting with a dashing suitor and a shy princess

You find yourself in a medieval tower, but it has a very fancy decor, the walls are lined in fancy bookcases and before you is a table with what looks like a cup set for a tea party, all very dainty and fancy.

You look around and then over yourself and notice you are in some sort of formal garb, looking pretty fancy, you think to yourself:

"This is weird, I guess I'm some sort of knight or a prince?"

You feel something crawling at the back of your mind trying to push inside, you easily fight it, but out of curiosity stop, just to see what would happen. As you do it gently washes inside your mind, you start remembering foggily being at a dance with a lot of other people, but you can't recall any faces, slightly like in a dream, except for one, Jane's. She looks like herself, tall and amazon but dressed in a really puffy dress which covers her body from head to toe, like those old Victorian era puffy dresses with lots of frills and she looks super shy, hiding behind a huge fan blushing.

You remember that you were at some sort a ball where "un-marriable" of various royal families met to get rid of them through marriage. The only one you noticed all evening was her, for some strange reason you were just naturally drawn to her, always finding yourself hovering around her both intentionally and unintentionally.

You walked up to Jane and invited her to dance, but she got super shy and blushed redder, waving you away shyly.

"Hmm, so she is going for some kind of different personality?" you think.

While you were in her presence, you felt a little more hotter, which you attributed to nervousness and being dressed in that stuffy outfit.

You remember after the ball, getting a letter inviting you to a private evening of tea drinking and here you are.

You get a weird feeling and realize you should sit down, which you do, you wait for a few second, then a double wide door opens revealing Jane.

She walks in dressed in the same puffy wide dress, hiding her face behind a fan, she walks to the table and awkwardly sits opposites you, she puts down the fan revealing her blushing face, she stammers out:

"H-hi, I'm so glad you could make it."

"Erh, right, eh, what are we doing?" you ask a little confused.

Jane drops her facade and says:

"Just play along."

"I guess I'm some kind of dashing knight, sweeping you off your feet?" you say.

Jane just smirks and says:

"Sure, something like that, now please play along, we are role-playing here!"

You manage to prevent yourself from rolling your eye's because you find this kind of stupid, so you just nod and say to your surprise:

"Yes, a pleasant surprise princess Jane."

You realize that the crawling feeling at the back of your mind is just the role-play seeping in, so you let it, you feel your role-play "personality" manifest in your head and the fantasy continuous as you and Jane both make inane chats.

It become apparent that Jane is the shy damsel and you are some kind of confident suitor, trying to woo her as she blushes by your attempts, weirdly vanilla all in all, so you guess Jane might have been hiding her interest in some kind of sappy romance novels.
