A down on his luck loser, hoping for a fresh start

You sit at home, another night all by yourself, thoughtlessly scrolling through the internet and looking for anything to take your mind off of things. After moving to this huge city to live together with your three months ago girlfriend everything kind of started to go downhill, leaving you across the country from your home and family, stranded in an apartment you wanted to share with your girlfriend.

All that changed when you found out the real reason she wanted the two of you to move here was for her to cheat on you with some guy she befriended online. Now the apartment reeked of loneliness and depression as it was still filled to the brim with moving boxes and piling trash you were too lazy to take out. The last few weeks you’ve spent almost every minute inside, trying to numb your sadness over the breakup with movies and porn but even that was slowly getting on your nerves.

Longing for a new start you continue scrolling through dozens of websites, hoping to find any promising job offer that could get you back on your feet but it seems like the the only options would have you working your ass off for minimum wage or sit in a cubicle all day calling around to get people to buy some shitty new product. You let out a disappointed sigh and let the computer mouse slide to the tiny red „X“ in the corner of the screen but shortly before you can shut down your laptop you suddenly get a notification…
