Chapter 2 by Tinyknob
Who are you?
A determined date
“Ready for Stevens.”
You walk to the reception desk and slide your referral form to her.
She smiles as she takes it. Her eyes grow wide after scanning it for a moment. She smiles a little bigger you think before entering information into her computer.
A medical assistant opens the nearby door.
The receptionist gestures to her, “You can follow Rochelle, our MA to the back. She’ll collect some more information to get you ready for your appointment.”
You nod and smile while thanking her and follow Rochelle through the door. So far all seemed like a normal wellness check. You wondered why you had to come here.
You’d gone on an amazing date last weekend with your new match, Stella. You shared love for many things including hiking, cold case trash TV, and board games. You felt a strong chemistry, and found her incredibly attractive.
She walked you home and you found yourselves making out on your couch.
She breaks your lips apart and tells you from on top “can’t believe how well this is going! Kissing and physical contact aren’t my usual go to on a first date but..” she giggled before climbing off you.
“Regrets?” You ask as you sit up and she straightens herself out.
“No way!” She beamed. “I was actually hoping you would be up for the next steps?”
You stood up and gripped her by the hips. “Yeah, I’d love to see you again.” You attempt a lean in for a kiss-
“Great!” she practically shouts, startling you. “I just want to make sure everything checks out medically speaking.”
“Oh! Yeah sorry I thought I already…hang on.” You fumble with your phone to grab your latest results. You tested regularly out of care for yourself and others. You appreciated that she was looking out for herself and trying to be safe too.
“Oh! No you did, I saw those.” She kissed you on the neck, sending shivers down your legs.
“I’m sorry. I just have screenings with a clinic I’m familiar with. Would you be ok with that before we…move things any further? I’ll cover the cost no problem, and I have a referral form with all the details…”
You assured her you had no problem agreeing to some additional checks. Though, perhaps you should’ve read that referral form more thoroughly while you still had it…oh well.
