A crafty scoundrel

Since you were a child, you've always been good with your hands and kept your wits about you. While you were briefly apprenticed to a locksmith back at home, you quickly found that you could make more money pursuing less...legitimate means of funding yourself. This worked quite well for a couple of years, until you were caught burgling the house of one of the richest men in town. And you'd likely not have been caught were it not for a weakness for blondes and the rich man's extremely willing daughter, who was thrilled by the prospect of meeting a real, live criminal...

Suffice it to say, you had plenty of reason to leave town, quickly, that night. Since then, you've been plying your trade with middling success from town to town, never staying in one place long enough to draw the notice of authorities. It's been a...hand-to-mouth existence, to say the least. You've had to learn to defend yourself from your competitors, too, which is why you carry several long and very sharp knives on your person these days. You rely on your fast hand, keen eye, and instinct for avoiding (and causing) all sorts of nasty surprises.

Of course, you need a diverse set of skills to survive in this world...
