A couple of years later

Sean had stopped to get some things for dinner on his way home. He noticed a woman next to him and he looked up. She looked up at the same time. It was Chloe. He hadn’t seen her in two years since the divorce. There was no escaping the situation. “Oh, hi,” he said to her equally surprised face.

“Hi.” She smiled awkwardly. “How are you?”

“Fine, good even. You?”

“Yeah, great.”

They stumbled through niceties for a moment before Chloe said. “Look, do you want to get a coffee? Believe it or not, I’d love to know what you’ve been up to.”

The divorce had been heartbreaking but he had too much self-blame to truly resent her. “Sure, I have time.”

They made their purchases and crossed the street to a coffee shop. As they walked, Sean noticed something. “Are you pregnant?”

Chloe blushed and held her slight belly. “Yeah.”

“Is it?”

“It’s Colin’s. Jess is pregnant too. We timed it and we both got pregnant at the same time.”

The conversation paused as they ordered and took their drinks to a table. “What about you?” Chloe asked.

“I’m with Anna.”

Chloe laughed. “How long did it take for her to get on the scene?”

“Not long,” Sean admitted. “Pretty much as soon as I told Magnus she came over.”

“You were at his place then weren’t you?”

Sean nodded. “I was there for a few weeks. Anna just moved in and flirted with me nonstop. Even when I got angry because I was so upset she rolled her eyes and flipped her hair and ignored me. Eventually, I relented and slept with her, out of anger and frustration as anything. She was so happy, it was hard not to develop feelings for her and you know how beautiful she is.”

“She is beautiful and a little bit crazy,” Chloe agreed.

“She is that,” Sean chuckled.

“Have you asked her to cheat on you?” Chloe asked.

Sean went quiet and still but eventually nodded. “A couple of times.”

“How was it?”

“Different. She’s so obsessed with me it’s obvious she is doing it for me. Still, it’s reassuring after what happened.”

“Probably for the best. That kink of yours is a troublesome one.”

Sean hummed in agreement, eyes down in embarrassment. “How’s your home situation?”

“Well, seeing as you seem to be okay, It’s great. Colin works from home, I’m still at the game company and Jess does her personal training and Patreon for her cosplays. She is such a slut, I love her. She tried keeping it between just me and Colin but she is so weak to hot girls. She agreed that she would only keep it casual and she has been true to that. Honestly, she’s like a guy sometimes. It’s probably why I find her so attractive. We do it together just the two of us as much as we do it with Colin. It’s like that song from Cabaret, two ladies. We all share a bed. It’s very cuddly.

“Colin is doing great. You should see him. Once we all moved in together, Jess got him on the weights. He is totally jacked now and can throw Jess around. He just needed structure and guidance. He was always very diligent but he just put that into his studies. Once we told him the formula to being fit and healthy he took it and ran with it.”

“So the nerdy guy gets two hot women in his bed every night,” said Sean with a mirthless snort.

“Sometimes more. Jess invites friends along sometimes. You know, if you ever wanted Anna to join us I know Jess would love her, not to mention Colin.”

Sean stared in shock at Chloe. “How can you make an offer like that?”

Chloe shrugged. “I live in a very sex-positive house.”

“You got so mad when Anna and I did it that time.”

“I know but you weren’t Colin. I know that Colin could fuck Anna for an hour straight and still give me what I need and even if not, Jess would. I also have absolute faith that Colin loves me despite having sex with other women. I can see it in his every look and feel it in his hands when he touches me.”

“I loved you that much too.”

“I know but Colin gave me all that you could and more.” She looked at Sean’s face. “You are hard aren’t you?” He nodded. Chloe sighed, “I shouldn’t be surprised. Anna cheating on you doesn’t feel the same because you know she’s obsessed with you. It lacks the same edge as when I did it.” He nodded again, eyes boring a hole in the table, face bright red.

“Poor Sean.” She finished her drink and stood up. “I still have the same mobile number. If you change your mind about sharing Anna with Colin, let me know. I wouldn’t mind a go with her myself. I’m quite into girl on girl these days. If nothing else it gives you something fun to jack off to while thinking about it.” She put her hand on his shoulder as she walked past him. “Take care Sean.”

She walked out. He didn’t see her go. Her final words, take care, played in his mind. Was that a friendly farewell or a dire warning? He pulled out his phone and looked at a picture of his beautiful girlfriend. She would never fall for Colin like Chloe had. He was almost certain. Almost.
