Chapter 4 by JohnDoe117 JohnDoe117

What should Cardin do next?

A couple of simple tests

Faced with the possibility of the ring being indeed magic, Cardin still has his doubts. If he was to see if it works, he cannot just go all the way. If he was wrong, he might end up humiliated, expelled, or worse, killed. A few ideas came to mind. A few requests that would be usually met with girls screaming at him to go away or a painful red welt on his cheek.

"Oh, right! I forgot! We really should get to know each other." Cardin said, acting as if he forgot. "We had to pass the Initiation first." He produced his scroll, it's screen barely visible in the daylight. "What if you give me your scroll number? Since if I did not make it, I could always chat with you."

Weiss' silence chilled Cardin to the bone. Waiting for her response felt like hours as she studied his face. She produced her own scroll after several nerve-wracking seconds. When she opened it and tapped a few buttons, he expected an armed fleet of bodyguards or even the Atlas military to swoop in and take him away, but no one came. Instead, she merely bumped her scroll to his, and a series of numbers popped up.

"Latest iSchnee model." She spoke dismissively, but with a faint smile. "Like I was saying before you rudely interrupted me," she started walking towards the main hall, with Cardin following beside her. "I have a brother named Whitley. I also have a butler named Klein..."

Cardin wanted to believe that the ring does work, but he kept thinking it was a fluke. Maybe Weiss is just attracted to him already? Who knows. Maybe it was his over-confident ego that drew her in? Maybe. A couple of tests more, just to be certain.

When they reached the main hall, there were too many people for a test. Perfect for the second one. "Hey, Weiss. Let's go somewhere a little bit more private." Weiss did not have time to reply when he grabbed her hand and headed to the nearest hallway he saw. Again, no one was batting an eye. He was basically dragging the Weiss Schnee, and no one cared.

After wading through a bunch of corridors, the pair was now alone. As they search for an empty room, Cardin's hand went from holding unto Weiss' to around her shoulders, his hand dangerously close to her modest breasts. He had to voice his curiosity. "It's fine for me to do this, right?"

"Yes, you dolt. Why wouldn't it be?" There was no hostility nor fear in her eyes, only an incredulous expression. She looked at him like he asked her if she was a girl. "Anyway, why should we go somewhere else? We could have got to have known each other fine in the main hall."

"Well, Ms. Schnee." Cardin finally found an empty room. With one last check to see any followers, he ushered the girl inside. "We're about to get to know each other very well."

How would they get to know each other?
