A couple's understanding

It was her mother-in-law who first raised the issue, seeking to know when Naruko would return her headband, because, naturally, as the new Uchiha Matriarch, she could hardly remain as an active duty kunoichi, right?

Naruko felt silly for even forgetting about this. Not that there was any doubt about her decision, of course. As a woman, she ought to be at her husband's disposal.

Not that she would admit this aloud to Itachi, of course. It might go up his head.

"Anyway," Naruko said with faked nonchalance, after explaining her decision to retire from active duty. "I should focus more on the clan and making the compound a reasonable place to live. God knows this place would fall apart without me, besides I ahh-"

Swift as the flowing water, and faster than even an S-class kunoichi could possibly react to, Itachi grabbed her by the arms, pinning his bride against the wall, even as his strong hands made her skin warm up and tingle. At first, she thought he was angry, a reaction from the sly comment she'd made, but even through his blank mask, she could see a far different emotion lurking beneath his onyx pupils.

Itachi was no fool. He knew how much Naruko dreamed of being Hokage, the way she wanted this since her days as a child, how even now she was enticed by the piece of cloth they called a hat.

He knew what she was surrendering to him, giving it up, all for HIS sake.

Itachi prided himself on self-control, a gentleman and a thinker by anyone's measure, but even he had limits. And right now, he thought about Naruko's devoted cunt, and how much he wanted to use her, repay her loyalty to him with a gift of seed, regardless of their planned wedding in a few weeks.

Sigh.

He had ****. She was a respectable lady, and waiting was only proper.

They joined lips, gentle but passionate, as Itachi made his way down her neck through nibbles and dango-flavored kisses. Tongue having moistened the spot, he broke the skin with his teeth, as Naruko released a tiny gasp of pain.

"Sorry, my bride," And even as he said it, a drop of blood blemished his perfect white teeth. "But you tempt me overmuch."

This tiny bite would, for now, have to do. It would have to be enough to sate his hunger.

Having calmed down considerably, Itachi dinned with his bride and explained to her why her decision was premature.

"As an Uchiha, I may never be Hokage, the prejudices run too deep." Itachi finished his line of thought. "The council cannot take, however, a man's right to rule his wife."

And so Naruko smiled, knowing that she could accomplish both of her dreams at once, being Hokage and enjoying the happiness of submission to a strong male. She just had to remember which one was more important.
