A conspiracy emerges

You awake the next day to the sound of muffled cries. A Minotaur and another demon who looks a man without a face stand by the door, holding a moving carpet. There is a large mass trapped in the carpet which you assume is a human being. Eisheth walks in behind the others.

"The priest schemes against my Creator" she says.

The demons drop the carpet and roll it open. The village priest, Frederick Thorn, comes tumbling out with a sock in his mouth. Both his eyes are bruised and his nose is broken and bloody. He tries to get up but Eisheth pins him to the ground with her foot. Despite her slender size she has inhuman strength.

"What is going on?" Cecelia says as she gets out of bed. She makes no effort to hide her naked body from the demons and the priest.

"The priest was writing letters to the Prince-bishop" says the faceless man, you don't have the slightest idea how or where he produces sound. "He was writing to the Prince-bishop that the village has been overcome by Occultist and demons. That the Viscount's daughter was in communion with the usurper."

"Were any of these letters sent?" Cecelia asks.

The demons look at priest. You lean down and remove the sock from his mouth. The priest says nothing intelligible, he just mumbles and whimpers. Eisheth lifts her foot off of him then picks him up with a single hand. The priest is screaming and shaking as the demon dangles him in the air.

Her voice comes from nowhere and yet everywhere all at once, as if Eisheth was speaking through every surface in the room simultaneously. "Has thou threaten the life of my Creator? Whatever thou has done, I shall learn."

"Please let me go. Let me go. Don't kill me. Please!" The priest says.

"Does the Prince-bishop know anything about our village?" Cecelia asks.

"Speak the truth and thou might live" the demon adds.

"He knows everything up to the marriage" says the priest. "I have been writing to him ever since day you announced yourself Viscount. The Prince-bishop said he would gather an army to liberate the village from this demonic taint."

The room fell silent. Cecelia was the first to end the silence. "When will this army arrive?"

"A matter of days, I believe. Please, I told you the truth, don't kill me. Let me go, I'll go away, I'll join a monastery, let me live."
