A collection of new dresses and more

She looks inside the box, quickly reaching in to pull out the top item, bringing out a skimpy little dress. She holds it up to admire it, smiling in surprise that he picked something that she instantly loved. She’s even more surprised when she checks the label and finds it is even her size, and she tries to remember if she had told him during the time they had spoken.

She carries the dress to her mirror and holds it against herself, already wondering if she’ll be able to wear this without her mum commenting on its length or tightness! She momentarily thinks about trying it on but decides that first she needs to see what else is in the parcel.

One by one she pulls out half a dozen little dresses, each one seemingly skimpier and sexier than the one before, as if they had been packed deliberately that way. She is about to take them all to the mirror when she realises there is another little bag at the bottom of the box, and quickly takes that out as well.

Carefully ripping the plastic open, inside she finds a collection of lingerie, and again she sees that both bras and knickers are her size, as if he had somehow checked.

She lays the dresses and lingerie out on her bed, admiring it all, wondering where it came from. There’s no dispatch note anywhere, nor any indication of what store they came from, which she finds a little strange, surely all deliveries usually have the store name on them?

Since their last exchange of messages on Sunday she has resisted getting back in touch with him, but now she knows she wants too badly. But just as she is about to do so, she stops herself, looking again at the dresses. Picking up what she already knows is her favourite, she strips off her school uniform and then pulls the new dress over her head.

“Wow” she compliments herself as she studies herself again in the mirror. She grabs her phone and snaps a few photos, turning and posing trying to get just the look she wants. Satisfied at last, she types out her message and presses send before she can change her mind.

“Thank you. I will wear this one for you at the weekend if you like. Or any of them. Or just the lingerie”
