A classic fantasy world!

(This is going to be another little project between myself and CMW!)

The Lamp tumbled through the air as it assessed the world it ended up in once more. It seemed to be a rather standard world, set in the medieval days, with magic and whatnot. This sort of world was dime a dozen, but always fun for the Lamp, especially when one considered all the Demihuman species that could be played around with!

It also noticed a whole pantheon of deities, set up in a rather standard format, you had a top God, in this case, the God of the Earth, a God of War, a God of the Sea, a Goddess of Death, a God of the Sky, etc. It also idly noted that these gods actually governed this world pretty reasonably, that was a rarity. Mostly hands off, but willing to lend assistance to mortals, assuming they earn it. Their rule regarding dealing with mortals seemed to be essentially: do not allow the mortals to become dependant on us.

And of course, they often slept with mortals... and funnily enough, their spouses didn't seem to mind around here. Gods were usually surprisingly jealous, ignoring the fact that "til death do us part" doesn't exactly apply to immortal beings. Of course a god would want to spice things up on occasion!

Regardless, despite the mild interest in the actually sensible divinity around here, the Lamp simply continued its descent.
