A challenge and more then she bargained for

The entire room stares at her spellbound, "Don't get me wrong, I love being the center of attention, I love the looks I get every time I walk into a room, all the things I can do with just a wink or a blow of a kiss. But that's just it. All I ever need is a single word and it's already over." Shelia felt her heart break as the goddess sitting across from her desk gave a weary sigh. " The game ends so quickly I never get to enjoy the chase. I want to know what it's like to really have to try to get someone to agree with me. To bad it'll never happen."

"I-I-I'll do it!" John stammered while bolting up from his chair. "Anything for you!" Quickly John screwed his eyes shut in concentration. After a moment his breathing steadied for the first time since Eve had walked into the room and he level a concentrated stare at the beautiful women.

Eve just quirked an eyebrow with a smirk. Usually her looks would reduce a boy to a stammering mess but John seemed different for some reason. Maybe he would be fun after all. "Oh? Even if I ask you to just forget the whole thing?"

"You'll have to try harder then that." John answered. Shelia almost dropped her pen as she heard his answer.

For a moment Eve could only stare at John in wonder. "Y-you can really say no to me? That's amazing!"

"It's what you asked for."

Eve smiled radiantly. "Yeah but no one ever says no to me! Even when I ask them to do the opposite of whatever they just did people always hop to it."

John laughed "Yeah it's pretty freaky on the other end of it. You could have asked for the whole world and I'd have given it to you. This has helped clarify some stuff for me though."

John smiled.

"And you've let me understand myself a little better as well. I was mixing together what I wanted for me and what I wanted for you at the bus. I could have just made you pretty to me or bumped up your looks. So why did I try so hard to make everyone else like you as well?" Shelia scribbled at her notes as John continued. "It's not enough for me to have something, I want everyone else to want it as well."

"You're mine and everyone is going to know it." He said.
