A call

The next day I wake up at my normal time. I look next to me, but there is no sign of Ram. She must have got up already.

So I get up alone and get ready. Then I go downstairs to the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Ikumi and Rosalina are sitting and talking. When Ikumi sees me, she gets up.

"Good morning," she says to me and quickly goes to the cooker. I'll just make your egg." "Thank you Ikumi" I say to her and sit down at the table with Rosalina.

"How was your first night here?" I ask her. "It was ok. I miss my kids a bit, but at least I have some people around me here."

"I'm glad to hear that. I need to talk to you for a minute after breakfast would that be alright?" I ask Rosalina. "Oh of course," she replies.

Ikumi comes to the table with the food, sets a plate down for me and sits with us. While I eat, the two of them talk and I can hear that they are already getting along quite well.

After I have finished eating, I put the plate aside. "Ikumi, could you do me a favour and watch some TV? I need to discuss something with Rosalina for a moment."

"Of course," she says, a little puzzled, but gets up and walks out of the room. Now only Rosalina and I remain.

"Rosalina, have you had a little talk with Hermione yet?" "Not really yet, we spoke a bit yesterday but she wasn't here this morning like the others. Why do you ask?"

"I wanted to have a chat with you about her. Hermione hasn't really arrived here yet. As you may have noticed, she is often grim and withdrawn. She spends most of her time in the library or in her room. I was hoping that you could talk to her. Maybe be a friend to her."

Rosalina looks at me with a smile. "I'd love to," she replies, "I can go up in a minute if you want." "Yes in a minute, I have to tell you something though. I have a fear that Hermione... doesn't have the best in mind. If she or any other characters in my world escape, they will be pursued. I don't want you to have a bad time. Can you let me know if she's planning something?"

Rosalina thinks a little. "Of course," she replies, "I don't want anything to happen to the girls either. They've all been so nice so far." "Thank you," I reply. "You're welcome to go up to her."

Rosalina says a quick goodbye and then walks out of the kitchen. Just as I'm about to go into the living room, Ikumi comes towards me with the phone.

"James a certain Reginald is on the phone. He said you know him?" asks Ikumi, holding the phone out to me. "Yes, thank you Ikumi" I pick up the phone. "You are welcome to watch TV again." Ikumi smiles at me and then walks out into the living room.

"Reginald, how are you?" I ask into the phone.
