A box

From under the bed Jervis pulled out a white box "Here it is my dear as I promised something special for you" Jervis sat next to Selina on the bed box on his lap. "As you currently have very little strength I will open it for you" hatter said In a tone that made it clear he saw her as weak and inferior compared to him.

"Behold" Jervis said opening the box " Special socks and shoes just for you my dear to pair with your dress" Selina tried to fake a smile as hatter showed off the shoe's and socks but then Selina knew after the dress that when Jervis gives a gift there was reason to worry.

"There lovely Jervis" Selina said in a tone so sweet it made her feel physically ill. "The only thing is if I put these on I won't be able to take of this dress with them on".

" Don't worry my dear there's still plenty of time to remove the dress before it's to late and you wouldn't want to disappoint me when I got you such a lovely gift now would you ?" Jervis said to a scared Selina

Selina thought about it did she dare say anything and risk upsetting the hatter or does she play along and hope he will keep his word.
