A bored Oni (Rachel POV)

Uzume grins as she walks into the room. “I’m bored!”

Rachel looks up at the gigantic oni. “And I suppose you want me to fix that?”

“Of course! We haven’t really talked yet, you were off being business lady. I wanna get to know you!”

Rachel chuckles. Josh had warned her that Uzume was essentially Sadie but huge, and that’s what she was seeing now. She sets down the book she was reading and smiles. “Ok then, anything in particular you enjoy doing?”

Uzume grins. “Aside from fighting and fucking, you mean?”

Rachel laughs. “Yes. I’m not much of a fighter, and as for sex...let’s see where the evening takes us. That’s a possibility later. If you’re good.”

Uzume laughs. “I like you already, Rachel! In that case, how about some wine? I know a good place.”

Rachel was surprised. She didn’t expect the Oni to be the sort to find a drinking spot, but she wouldn’t turn down some wine.

“Alright! Where is it?”

Uzume winks. “I know where the wine cellar is. I’m sure Josh won’t mind if we have some!”

Rachel chuckles. “No, he won’t at all.”

The two of them start walking, and Rachel smiles up at the Oni. For all her intimidating size, she was friendly and fun! Rachel could see why Josh liked her. “So I have to ask, what attracts you to Josh?”

Uzume smiles. “Well, originally it was fun seeking, and his power. At least, that’s why I came to him originally. But the thing is, he’s just...he treats me like family. And not just him, all the girls! I know he says we’re family, but it’s easy to say that sort of thing. But like tonight, the sly way he got Clarissa out on a date. He makes sure everyone gets some time with him. It’s so...I don’t know, it’s nice.”

Rachel nods. “He cares about all of us, and we care for each other. It really is a family. I was skeptical at first too.”

Uzume continues, “The other thing is, I don’t think anything intimidates that man! He accepted me immediately, no fear or hesitation. I think that’s what really convinced me.”

Rachel smiles, shaking her head. “Sometimes he should be. I swear he gets into some rough spots, and usually it’s his own fault!”

Uzume grins. “And yet, here you are, about to join an Oni in drinking his wine!”

Rachel laughs. “You’re right. He hooked me just as much as anyone.”

She thought about her attraction, and realized that his risk taking was part of it. His confidence was attractive! Still, she wished she didn’t have to worry about him so much.

Uzume stops in front of a door. “Here it is! Ready to drink until your clothes fall off?”

Rachel laughs. “Let’s do this!”
