A bit of banter

Byleth greeted the other two as they approached. There was a healthy spirit of competition going on there so Byleth let his attention shift to Hanneman and Manuela as they approached. "Aw, how precious. Looks like you and the students have become fast friends~."

"While I am pleased that you are taking the initiative to acquaint yourself with the students, I'm afraid it's about time for the faculty strategy meeting." Hanneman pointed out, moving to talk privately with Dimitri. Manuela, on the other hand, stayed back for a bit of banter. "Don't you worry, Professor Byleth! Should you get injured, I will care for you all through your recuperation. I will see to you oh-so very, very, personally~" She said with a playful grin. Byleth decided to try being witty with a reply. "I might take you up on that, after out victory party." He said, managing a smirk on his otherwise stoic face. Manuela actually turned back to see him as she started to head off with Claude.

"So, Professor Byleth." Edelgard asked, grabbing his attention back. "Who should we field? If this is going to affect our strategy, It would be best to pick now. We can only field 4 students, and the House leaders are a requirement."

Byleth nodded, going through his list of students in his head. Edelgard was a given since she was required, not to mention how good she was. Dorothea also seemed eager to participate, as did Ferdinand and Hubert. though it was clear both were doing so due to Edelgard, competitively and loyally respectively. But he have final say, and Shez was also eager to participate, as was Caspar. Linhart wanted to nap - honestly, that just made pushing him into the mock battle a bit more appealing to him. Then there were last two the girls, Petra and Bernadetta. Petra seemed good with either, but she seemed quite suited for combat. While Bernie seemed to just want to avoid being involved - another one in the same boat with Linhart then.

"Well, I think I'd like to see you and Dorothea out there. Shez seems very eager to send out as well. The last will be..."
