A bit of app customization
If you can edit the program with itself, there's no reason not to make some little quality of life changes that might be useful, right? If anything, you'll just be helping the developers out and making their life easier! You prop yourself up against the edge of the bed and start typing, thumbs flying across the screen as you type entry after entry.

By the time you finish, the program already feels so much better. You quickly shunt all your program-specific changes into a custom category, and flag your changes to yourself so far as hidden in case you decide to show Casey the app at all. Using the app so much has your fingers twitching, though, almost desperate to find another thing to do, to change.
