"What do you mean you're not going to take on the Devil King!?" Aqua was shouting at Kazuma as they sat in his room to plan out the short and long term actions of the party. She was currently holding up her skirt at Kazuma's request, so he was barely paying attention, staring at her panties. A simple snap and command to Megumin kept her from finding this off. "Sure, you're not that strong now, but once you gain enough levels, you can pull it off!"

"Look, I recognize that me being stuck with someone as useless as you is my fault, as I didn't realize you didn't know shit about fighting, but seriously, look at the party I'm stuck with," Kazuma stated bluntly. "Frankly, trying to kill the Devil King is a fool's errand in my situation. So unless things change drastically, I'm just going to live as comfortably as I can."

"Kazuma, don't you realize what's at stake here?" Aqua whined, giving him puppy dog eyes to guilt trip him.

"Yes, I know the Devil King could eventually wipe out all life on this world, but what exactly can I do about i-?"

"Not that!" Aqua huffed. "I'm stuck here until the Devil King is beaten!"

"...just go get a quest from the board," he demanded. "Something easy that pays well if possible!"

"Fine!" she huffed, and stormed off, though before exiting the door, she turned back to catch his eye, and pulled up the back of her skirt to show him her panty clad ass. "I'm not going to have a reason to live anymore!" he heard her crying from the other side of the door after she had closed it.

While he felt slightly bad about it, he did still know that he would get straight up killed against the Devil King. Unless he and his party got strong enough, and got rid of their weaknesses, not a chance in hell. There was always the Sex Note, but as he understood it, he needed sexual context for every change to reality he wanted to make, and he couldn't figure out a decent way to do that... Maybe he could try experimenting a bit later...
