A bit more fighting, before they make it!

Izuku and Melissa ran for the stairs that would lead the last couple of floors up, and Izuku grinned at her. "Nice work! Your plan worked perfectly!" he praised.

She chuckled a bit. "Well, you know, I AM pretty smart!"

"That's for su- MOVE!" he suddenly shouted, spotting someone coming at them from out of the corner of his eye, and tackled Melissa aside, barely avoiding what, from the sound of it as it moved through the air, was something sharp being swung at them. Melissa cried out in shock as they landed, and Izuku pushed her along the floor as he rolled up to his feet in time to see their assailant, a man with a bladed arm, charging at them again. He blocked the blade on his gauntlet, and sparks flared up as the two metals grinded against one another.

"You shouldn't have come here!" the Villain snarled, putting more **** into his push, but was surprised to see Izuku still standing his ground.

"Tell me why you Villains attacked the expo!" Izuku grit back as he pushed back, and started to overpower the man... Until his other arm turned into a blade, and he slashed at Izuku, who was **** to abort the weapon lock to dodge the attack, but got kicked in the gut in the process, and knocked into the wall.

While he was down, the Villain raised his arm to strike again. "You picked the wrong place to play Hero!" he shouted.

Before he could attack though, Melissa leapt at him, grabbing his arm with both of hers. "Stop it!" she cried out.

"Damn bitch! Get the hell off!" he shouted, thrashing a moment, before throwing Melissa away as she cried out in pain, cutting her arm in the process. "Girls like you shouldn't-!" he started to snarl, before Izuku, having gotten up, blindsided him, and slammed his fist into the guy's face, channeling twenty percent of One For All's maximum output, the Gauntlet taking the stress of the attack for his arm, and sent the Villain spinning through the air until he hit the bottom of the staircase ahead, cratering it. He laid prone in the debris, out cold.

"Melissa!" Izuku shouted as he ran to her.

She sat up, and tried to alleviate his concerns. "I'm fine," she told him, raising her arm to show the shallow cut. "See? It's hardly even bleeding." Izuku however was having exactly none of it, and pulled out a handkerchief to use as a makeshift bandage.

"Thanks for helping me there... And I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," he stated, pulling the knot on the handkerchief closed. As he spoke, they heard the distant sound of explosions getting closer.

"I knew the risks when I accompanied you all," she replied. "Let's get up to the top!"

Izuku nodded, and they stood. They then heard the explosions die down when they reached the emergency door they had entered this floor through. They turned, and saw Bakugo turn the corner. "Good, you both didn't get too far ahead," Bakugo grunted. "Come on, let's get our asses moving!"

"Right!" Izuku and Melissa nodded at once, and they resumed running, climbing up the staircase, after clearing the crater Izuku had made. Bakugo made a small grunt of annoyance at having missed that particular fight, but they kept going until they reached the final set of stairs. Two Villains were waiting at the top with **** Rifles, and they opened fire down the staircase. Izuku grabbed Melissa, and they immediately took cover with Bakugo around the corner.

"Shit! They got the staircase bottlenecked!" Izuku cursed as he pressed himself to the wall. If he had full access to One For All, he might have been able to maneuver near the ceiling and get them both before they could adjust their aim, but now... He barely had any Embers remaining. That last burst at twenty percent had drained him down to less than a minute at his standard levels.

"Move over, Deku! Both of you step back!" Bakugo demanded. Izuku and Melissa hurried to oblige as Bakugo stepped forward, stopping just shy of the corner the that led up the stairs the two were shooting down. "Die!" Bakugo shouted, throwing down a concussive blast down at the floor, producing a shockwave that traveled up the stairs, slamming into the Villains, and knocking them on their asses with a cry of shock. Bakugo himself stumbled, but because he was braced for it, and used to it, quickly recovered, and dashed up the stairs, propelling himself with explosions before the Villains could recover. Just as they looked up, he was on them, aiming his hands mere inches from their faces.

"Double Stun Grenade!" he declared, releasing the blasts right into their faces, the concussive shock knocking them both out instantly. Izuku and Melissa hurried to follow. "How much further?" Bakugo demanded.

"Not much at all! We're on the top floor now! We just need to get to the control room now!" Melissa nodded as they ran down the hall.

"About time!" Bakugo smirked. Their final goal was now literally in sight!
