A While Later...

I woke up to find Louise cuddled up in my arms. She was still asleep. It had taken a while to recall yesterday's events.

Did we really do all of that? And how tired were we that we slept this long?

I was so confused. Then it all hit me like a truck. I almost jolted up to check something, but I remembered the sleeping beauty I was so carefully embracing. Even that didn't last forever before she woke as well.

It took one look between the both of us to say everything. Almost, anyway.

"Quick question: Exactly how are we going to get the footage off of your phone? It doesn't look to be doing too well."

We both looked at Louise's phone on the ground, a small dent formed in the floor where it landed. Then her face got red and hot.

"I never set up the camera...", she replied weakly.

I just let out a sigh.

"I enjoyed it though. I really did." Her voice seemed less embarrassed and more gentle, almost sisterly.

"I did too."

"Can we stay like this, Daniel? Please?"

"You're making puppy eyes again... alright, c'mere you demon."

I felt her scoot closer to me, feeling warmer than before. It was a pleasant feeling.

This whole experience was a pleasant feeling.
