What is Rachel's next move?
A Visit To The Library
The local library was a compelling option, I'd only rode past it before, making note to visit when I needed to study. But now I was eyeing it up for different reasons.
It wasn't a small building, if anything it almost looked a little out of place. A large concrete structure that had enough windows to not look like a prison and enough floors to not look like a bunker of some sort, there was a bit of wooden cladding that must've been added within the last ten or so years, but it didn't really change the aesthetic too much.
Riding to the bike dock I locked mine up and headed inside, I was dressed more or less like a student with black leggings on under a baggy grey hoodie, a blue tanktop beneath that, so I should go without particular notice. This was just a scouting mission, probably.
Taking a look inside and the interior was a lot more friendly than the exterior. Practically every spot of floor besides the main throughways were carpeted, with those main areas being smooth wooden floors. The bookshelves were aligned to allow for capacity, with the main floor looking more like a maze, but the upper floors had a large open space in the middle to look down on the rest of the building, or act as large balconies for reading by.
The place felt fairly typical for a library in a city, however this was a normal neighbourhood, so it made me wonder if this place was built first and they just overestimated how many people would be living nearby. Honestly at a guess I was barely seeing three people on the bottom floor, and they were all reading at one of the main tables.
Deciding to scope out the bookshelves I picked a direction and walked, they weren't perfectly aligned, when they were in rows they would turn and prevent you from seeing all the way down, when they were disconnected your view at the end of your row would be of the end of another bookshelf, not the aisle as it continued.
It must be an organisational nightmare. Not wanting to seem like I was loitering, I grabbed a book from the shelf I was nearest to and thumbed it open. I didn't really start reading when I felt a light tap on my shoulder, looking to my right at the source I saw a woman who looked kind of...
"O-oh you're-" I gasped, realising this woman was the goth woman who I'd flashed that previous night "I mean, I uh, don't know...you...?"
The woman just rolled her eyes and snickered "You know I wasn't entirely sure it was you, then you reacted like that. Not to mention the book"
"Book? What do you mean book?" I looked down as she politely closed it, revealing the title 'Nudity And You: Getting In Touch With Your Body' With a blush I just put it back on the shelf "Okay you made your point, why are you here?"
"It's a library, I come here to read. Why are you here?" She asked casually, in the normal light I was able to figure more details. She both looked slightly younger than I thought she did, and also a little thicker, not that it was a bad thing.
"I'm...well I'm here to...uh, books?" I shrugged, trying to play it cool.
With a shake of her head she just laughed, she seemed more cheerful than how I pictured a goth, then again I could be mixing that image up with emos. "You're not here to read are you, you little minx. Okay, anyway I'm Clarissa"
The goth woman, Clarissa said with a smile as she extended her hand out for me "Rachel..." I replied, carefully shaking her hand "...okay so maybe I might not be here to read. You being here is chance, right?"
"Rachel, I haven't been following you if that's what you're thinking" Her tone sincere, I'd only met her twice so wasn't sure what my read was on her yet but she seemed trustworthy at least "We just bumped into eachother in a public space"
"Right, yes, sorry I'm just-"
"-being careful, I know" Clarissa cut me off, lightly nodding to emphasise her point.
"Okay, yes. Cool" Taking a breath, I shot her a smile "I'm scouting the library out, I think it'd be a fun spot, but I haven't come here before so I don't know the vibe" I explained, quietly...well, more quietly than we'd already been talking.
"Like for flashing?" She asked, sizing me up.
"Flashing is fun, but I'm talking full nudity"
"Daring"
"Wait you visit here often, right?" I ask Clarissa, my doubts being suppressed by my eagerness to carry my plan out.
The goth just smirked and pulled her flannel shirt tighter as a way to show off a little "I might know a few things, maybe"
"Let me guess, you want in?" The raised eyebrow might've been a bit much as I feigned playing hard ball, looking her over like I was a boss negotiating an exchange.
"Maybe a couple of friends too" She answered quickly, obviously pushing her luck. At the mention of a couple of friends though I couldn't help but blush, I'd have a whole group knowing I was naked.
"A couple...like...will they be naked too?" I ask, only to watch her shake her head.
"Acting as support, lookouts, shit like that" Clarissa shrugged, pushing some hair out of her face "Plus someone needs to hold your things right?"
The idea of trusting her clothes with people I didn't know was a little concerning, honestly something that could be a dealbreaker for me...but I could quickly tell my new friend picked up on that.
"They're good folks, chill. I mean they'd be down to see a girl going naked, but not down to bully her or anything" Clarissa's reassurance was...well it was decent, at the very least.
"Okay, okay so say I trust you" I begin, pausing for a moment to look her over again "I trust you and these friends are cool, which they may or may not be. When and where are you thinking?"
"The middle floors, they tend to be the least populated. Top floors have some of the weirder technical books, so you get some students going up there. Middle floor is the sweet spot between that and the main footways plus it splits off into the second building there"
"Second building?"
"Yeah there's a second area that's kind of overlooked, some people go in there but it's kind of quiet. On week days everything is quieter too"
"Mhm, mhm" I'm taking mental notes, almost like I'm planning a bank heist here, except it's me getting naked in public. If Clarissa's friends are reliable enough it almost sounds like a fool proof plan, almost "And you friends are just gonna hold onto my clothes"
"...why? Want them doing something else with them?" Asked my new goth friend, my new conspirator.
"Maybe, like they could hide them. Or uh, wait in different places with them or something...surprise me maybe?"
"Surprise you? You're something else aren't you?" Clarissa asked, looking me over with a smirk
"I'm kind of an exhibitionist, yeah..." I reply with an awkward chuckle.
This still needed some ironing out, but I had her number, we could sort out details. Either way, the idea was certainly arousing...I had my next escapade lined up and ready to go.
