A Very Personal Possession, Indeed

The amulet was on your chest again. Actually, it wasn't your chest, it was your mother's. You're not sure exactly why it happened, but you feel that it might be best to leave her body. You begin concentrating hard on removing yourself from her body, but nothing happens. You begin to think about the dream you had, and wonder if it was her soul confronting you. Maybe you've accidentally become your mother entirely.

This could be bad. You didn't intend on being your mother forever, or her spirit leaving this world. Maybe she's in your body now. Maybe she's sleeping in your old room this moment, living your life.

You go to your old room and open the door. You forgot about the fact that Mike was punished, and was now sleeping in here. There was no sign of your old body around here.

Maybe your body is sleeping on the couch? You've done it before, watching movies late at night. You head to the living room, and you body isn't there. The TV isn't even on.

It's quite obvious, wherever your body was, it wasn't in this house. There is a good chance that you'll never get to hear from your mother again. But then, you can still hear her voice, as it is your voice now. The body you treasured so much last night has now become yours to keep.
