A Very Different Sheik (OoT)

The worst had come to pass: with Link missing, Ganondorf had seized the Triforce of Power and taken over Hyrule, and Zelda, as both the legitimate heir to the throne and the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, which Ganondorf still coveted, had been driven into hiding. But Zelda couldn't bear to just sit around as her kingdom was driven ever further into darkness, which is when she came up with an idea: using the techniques taught to her by Impa, her Sheikah caretaker, she would disguise herself as a Sheikah warrior to defy Ganondorf openly.

... that was the plan, anyway. But to pull it off, Zelda had to actually do research on Sheikah warriors. And what she found shocked her. First, they were historically all male... which was fine, she could just make the excuse that in such dark times, she was allowed to become a female warrior. But second, they traditionally wore nothing but sacred symbols painted on their flesh, including patterns that were specifically designed to draw attention to their genitals as a distraction tactic. That... was a little less fine.
