Chapter 36 by TheTruePenguin TheTruePenguin

Where were you when it happened?

A Supervillain Scapegoat

You'd been waiting for this, Starlight's big play to try and bring down Vought. You'd known it was fast approaching when you'd given her the vial of V, and you watched and waited. It helped that you knew several other signs to look for.

Which was why as soon as the news broke, you were already on your way out the door, cracking your neck as you planned to really let off some steam today.

A dark alley, a quiet space, and Nick vanished as Kenji stepped into the light, vanishing with a soft pop as you teleported to the news studio in question, a devilish smile on your face as with a single swipe of your hand, desks were sent flying, people thrown around like toys.

"What the hell?" The news caster shouted, rising from his desk, only to be shoved back against the wall with one hand, no doubt knocking the wind out of him as he slumped to the floor.

"Puny man... I am Miyashiro Kenji. We are the Shining Liberation Army. We are here to overthrow our Imperialist masters who would chain us with hostage connivences like water and electricity. Are you watching, my people, because we will bring light to you!" You shouted, playing it up for the cameras as you shoved outwards, walls toppling before your power.

You had places to go, and things to do so you made a quick exit, leaping from the new hole you'd gouged into the building and landed on the ground below, softly cratering beneath you. Just to ensure maximum attention, you threw one hand out, sending ever car, truck, and bike down the streets hurtling away from you, for nearly a block.

You turned to leave, only for a fist to send you flying as you rolled to a stop, not being given a chance to recover as someone punted you in the chest, and probably would've pulverized your ribs if you weren't sturdy as hell.

This time you were ready as you pushed outwards, sending whomever flying down the street in retaliation, A-Train bouncing to a stop with only dust and dirt to show for his injuries.

"Imperialist dog, your people were shackled too, and now you protect them!" You shouted, earning a soft growl of annoyance as he charged you again. It might've worked, once again, if you weren't you as you moved with preternatural speed, catching his fist just as you let out another burst of ****, actually managing to bend his fingers the wrong way as he dug his feet in, not giving an inch.

As if taunting him, you heaved him over your shoulder, before forcefully sending him flying once he wasn't touching the ground. "You aren't powerful, you're just fast, and take that away from you-" You taunted, only to be cut short as a beam of light hit you, knocking you across the street, blinking your eyes.

"Grr, you die first." You hissed, throwing her down the street with a wave of your hand. Before you could do anything more, you had to dive to the side as Maeve literally cratered the pavement where you were standing, Homelander and Stormfront landing behind her.

"That's five, where's-?" You got out as two knives sunk into your leg, eliciting a sharp cry of pain as you ripped them out, smirking as you threw them at Starlight, adding some extra 'oomph' as they managed to scratch her, but skittered off.

You still didn't see Black Noir, and you weren't given the chance as Maeve charged you, her punch actually hurting as you spat blood out, ripping up a fire hydrant as you broke it over her head, not that she seemed bothered by the attack, but you weren't concerned out her.

Three plasma bolts hit the ground around you as you danced away, a smirk crossing your face as Maeve swore at Stormfront.

"So, you're not invincible after all." You mumbled, ripping down a powerline as electricity raced across the water, prompting Maeve to back off.

Given your location in the center of a growing pool of electrified water, that kept Maeve and A-Train at bay... or so you thought as A-Train barreled through the water, somehow managing to outrun the contact electricity as he grabbed you, slammed you through a wall, and managed to drag you three blocks before you even knew what was happening.

The road rash alone made you want to die as your skin felt like you took a bath in acid, but A-train had been in coma for a while, and on top that he still had that pesky heart problem, so he could go top speed which allowed you to get a hand up and knock his legs out from under him, sending him ass over teakettle across the ground, you yourself coming to a stop only moments before him.

You growled as you pushed yourself up, your skin only a mild red as it recovered in moments, making sure no one spotted you as you stomped over to A-Train, grabbing him by the ankle as you pushed your borrowed telekinetic power into him, wrenching his ankle the wrong way as it broke beneath your power.

Ignoring his cry of pain, you smirked, hearing the other members of the Seven chasing after you, "I told you, you're not strong, just fast, and now you aren't even that."

You contemplated letting him go, but you had a role to play, and you weren't one for half-measures, you moved on to his calf, snapping the bone like a twig with your powers, "Try and run away now, you fucking dog!" You snarled, bringing your foot down on his knee, finishing the job as he was left crippled on the ground.

Whatever you had planned next, it wasn't to be sent flying by a punch as Homelander slammed into you, sending your body bouncing further down the street; his eyes aglow as you started to attack with his laser beams... pew pew.

Thinking quickly, you swung your arm out, sending a car, passengers and all hurtling at him as his face scowled, catching the car with ease as he set it to the side, but you'd already followed up with two more as he growled, having to prioritize the civilians over you with such a public venue.

All of this gave you time to sprint towards him, partially bridging the massive gap between you two as you ran out of ammo, Homelander's attention turning back to you, now more pissed off.

His eyes flared a virulent red as his heat vision shot out, intending to immolate you on the spot. It was faster than you expected, and you barely got a hand between the two of you. You didn't know if it was possible, but that didn't really matter at this point as you pushed back, the lasers stunted in progression.

That gave you enough time to get a second hand up, doubling your power as you pushed the attack back, momentarily stunning Homelander as his heat vision hit him, barely singing the costume, but once more, it gave you the opening to close the gap, throwing a wild haymaker as you push outwards with your powers, throwing the leader of the Seven into a building. rather than give him a chance to recover, you shoved the building, the support struts creaking ominously as the stonework fractured and started to tumble down atop him.

Homelander momentarily distracted, you still had to deal with the remaining four.

As if tempting fate, two of Noir's knives sank into the ground as you dodged to the side, not able to catch your breath as a plasma bolt strips a few hairs off your head from Storm catching up.

She landed in front of you, purple sparks cascading across the ground as you didn't hesitate to attack, throwing out a hand to shove her back when she caught it. Your other hand met the same fate. You'd already seen this movie...

"Aww, what's the matter?" Her voice was smug, completely confident in her ability to overpower you. You didn't know whether to kiss her or punch her in the face, but given she may not know about your ruse, you didn't feel like fixing two broken arms.

You slung your head forwards in a wicked headbutt, catching Stormfront off-guard as she let go, allowing you to surge froward, tempting fate by fondling her chest before knocking her back with another blast of your powers, coincidently throwing her straight at Maeve.

Rather than bother with her newest teammate, Maeve stepped aside, letting Stormfront catch herself as she stomped towards you, anchoring herself in the pavement.

Unlike the others, you knew Maeve knew how to fight up close, not just rely on her superior physical abilities, and it showed with the first punch a straight jab that was a feint as her haymaker not only left you seeing stars but dislocated your jaw.

The only thing that saved you from the follow-up stomp that probably would've been hard to shrug off, was you not resisting, letting Maeve strength send you flying out of range as she pursued with a dogged look.

You threw out a hand to push her back, or at least distract her, only to be blinded by Star's entrance to the field of battle, a beam of pure fucking light knocking you on your ass.

"Fucking shit!" You growled, rubbing furiously at your eyes as you wiped away the blood, keeping your eyes closed as you tried again only to meet the same fate.

Now genuinely pissed, you reached out, using your more divine powers to locate Starlight as you grabbed her, yanking her across the street towards you, "Get over here you bitch!" You roared, clotheslining Starlight as she flew into range.

You let your anger slip as you crouched over her body, grabbing hold of one of her hands as you squeezed, "Look at me," You ordered the prone heroine. "Pretty little bitched like you always make the best sounds when they scream." You hissed in her face, snapping her wrist with one hand as she clenched her teeth, refusing to let any pain show.

You reached for the other one, only for a boot to displace your face as you got knock on your ass again.

You looked up, expecting Maeve to have arrived to save Starlight, but instead found yourself staring down a furious Stormfront, purple lightning leaping off of her as she rushed in.

"Sorry babe, but playtime's over." You said shortly, dodging her blow as you slammed a fist into her, succeeding only in pushing her back a half-step, but it was enough as she tried to counter only for you to grab her hand and throw her into the approaching Maeve, this time managing to knock her back.

You pushed up, grabbing Starlight's foot as Maeve recovered, swinging the blonde into her like a flail. Letting go, you got in both their space, palm striking Star's ribs as you shoved, throwing both women back down the street, humorously hitting Stormfront as well as all three women were left on the ground.

Rather than mess around anymore, you focused, holding all three women on the ground as you stood over Stormfront, smirking at her fiery glare.

Tilting your head like a curious dog, you smirked, looking at the growing crowd of people as you had a wicked idea enter your head.

You reached down, undoing your pants with one hand as you held the heroes down with the other, further showing off on your part as you started to stroke yourself over Strom's face.

"Watch America, how I desecrate your symbols of capitalism and imperialism! Just as how you've fucked and **** my people for years, I shall repay the debt!" You announced, gasps running through the crowd.

Honestly, it probably would've taken awhile to get going like this, in public, but Stormfront's expression somehow mixing wanton lust at the idea and apoplectic rage gave you an instant boner as you sped up, almost willing yourself to finish.

Sadly, you didn't get to finish as Storm's racist dogma broke through, a massive violet bolt hurling you across the sky as Starlight recovered, only adding to the attack with a ray of light that sent you hurtling away.

Thankfully, it was all going according to plan as you flew towards the distant ocean.

Meanwhile back on the ground, Maeve groaned as she rolled her shoulder, "You do know we have to go catch him now, right?" She queried her two companions. Neither one looked repentant at all.

Did Your Distraction Work?
