Chapter 3 by cloudengz cloudengz

What happens during class?

A Strange Feeling

Bianca's eyes widened as she felt Dr. Davis' hand on her shoulder. She hadn't even noticed him approach. His touch sent a shiver through her body, and she couldn't help but lean into it slightly. "Yes, Dr. Davis?" She asked, her voice coming out softer and more breathless than she intended. His green eyes seemed to pierce right through her, making her heart race.

She glanced over at Robert, who was busy taking notes, seemingly oblivious to her professor's attention. A pang of guilt hit her, but it was quickly replaced by a thrill of excitement.

Bianca felt a rush of heat flood her cheeks as Dr. Davis' hand lingered on her shoulder. She was acutely aware of the weight of his gaze, and it made her skin tingle. The classroom seemed to grow quieter, and she could hear her own heartbeat in her ears.

Dr. Davis leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear. "You seem a bit distracted today, Bianca," he murmured, his voice low and smooth. "Is everything alright?"

Bianca swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. She glanced at Robert again, but he was still absorbed in his notes.

Bianca's nod was almost imperceptible, but Dr. Davis' eyes seemed to catch the slightest movement. His gaze lingered on her for a moment, before he straightened up, his hand slipping off her shoulder. The sudden loss of his touch left Bianca feeling bereft, and she felt a shiver run down her spine as the cool air of the classroom hit her skin.

The sound of scratching pens and murmured conversations flooded back into her awareness, and Bianca felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized she had been lost in the moment.

Dr. Davis' eyes never left Bianca's face as he straightened up, his expression unreadable. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the air thick with tension. Then, he turned away, his gaze sweeping across the classroom as he continued to lecture. His voice was smooth and even, but Bianca detected a hint of huskiness that sent a shiver down her spine.

As Dr. Davis walked back to the whiteboard, his eyes seemed to linger on Robert for a fraction of a second, before moving on. Bianca felt a pang of guilt, wondering if her boyfriend had noticed anything.

As the lecture drew to a close, Dr. Davis scribbled a few final notes on the whiteboard, his eyes scanning the room to ensure everyone was keeping up. The scratching of pens on paper grew louder, and the murmur of conversations began to swell, like a wave building in intensity. Bianca felt a sense of relief wash over her as the tension between her and Dr. Davis seemed to dissipate, replaced by the mundane routine of gathering her belongings and preparing to leave.

She glanced over at Robert, who was already packing up his things, his eyes fixed on her with a warm smile.

As Bianca began to gather her belongings, Dr. Davis' eyes locked onto hers, and he nodded slightly, his gaze holding a hint of warmth. He pushed his chair back, the legs scraping softly against the floor, and stood up, his tall frame unfolding from behind the desk. The movement was fluid, almost languid, and Bianca felt a flutter in her chest as he walked towards her.

"Ah, Bianca, I believe I borrowed a textbook from you earlier," he said, his voice low and smooth, as he reached to grab it from his desk. "I wanted to return it to you before you left."

End of Class, what now?
