Chapter 47 by Vox121 Vox121

What's next?

A Special Moment

Chloe never let go of my hand as I led her up the stairs. The elevator was broken—or had never been fixed. She didn’t complain. She didn’t even judge the dilapidated surroundings. Her attention was entirely on me and her noise couldn’t decide if it wanted to be excited or frightened.

Reaching my apartment, I fished my keys out of my pocket and paused. Pushing out with my Gift, I found the place empty. Either that or Alexis was asleep.

“Everything okay?”

“Fine,” I said, unlocking the door. “Just to warn you, it’s not all that impressive.”

“You’re living alone. That’s impressive enough,” she said as she passed me. She was looking around as I closed the door behind us. Amusement danced through her noise.

“What?”

“Huh?”

“You’re amused.”

“How—right,” she said with a flush of her face. “Sorry. I was just thinking that this place is so… you.”

I guided her inside. “How so?”

“No nonsense and all practical.”

“Thank you.”

She giggled, shaking her head.

“Want something to drink?” I asked as I went to move to the kitchen. “I have—”

Turning, she pressed her hand against my chest before closing in for a kiss. She had to stand on her toes to do it, but she managed. I reacted to her noise, pulling her in closer as our kisses turned heated. I lost myself in the pressure of her lips against mine and the spicy perfume she was wearing tonight—the same she wore for the charity event. The sweet emotions in her noise flowed through me. It was wonderful.

Then I felt her unbutton my top button and I pulled away. She blinked up at me, confusion in her noise. Confusion that quickly turned to fear and rejection.

“I’m not… I’m sorry,” I said, struggling with my words. “I… this…” My body wasn’t working right. My mouth and brain struggling to work out words.

Chloe didn’t pull away as her initial fear fell away and the rejection faded. Replacing them was a soft inquisitiveness. “It’s your first time, isn’t it?” I nodded. “I forgot. I came on a bit strong, didn’t I?” Her cheeks heated as her reaction matched the new emotion in her noise. When she spoke again, her voice was barely above a whisper. “If it helps, you are the first one I’ve actually wanted to do this with.”

“I don’t want to let you down.”

Her eyes met mine as she reached up to run her hand against my cheek. “You won’t.” She kissed me again. A soft and quick kiss. I could see her anticipation. See the lust and desire building inside her noise.

I pulled away. “I don’t get aroused like other people do. I don’t even know if I can—”

“Jake.” Hearing her say my name silenced me as all the words I’d been about to say fell away. She was smiling up at me, both beautiful yet twinged in sadness. “I’m sure we can figure something out. I don’t want to brag, but I am rather good at this sort of thing.”

“Right.” Taking her hand, I led her to the bedroom. Standing before the bed, I turned to face her. “If there is anything you want me to do—”

Her giggles stopped me. “If I didn’t know you couldn’t feel nervousness, I would think you were nervous right now.” Her hand ran down my chest and her expression adopted something I hadn’t seen before—at least not directed toward me. “Relax, Jake. I’ll lead.”

As we kissed, I felt her hands begin working at my buttons. One by one, my shirt loosened until it was separated. Her hand found its way to my bare chest running along it. With some help from me, my shirt found its way to the floor. I was impressed by how she managed to keep us kissing while undressing me at the same time. I felt her hands against the front of my pants, hearing the buckle of my belt as it came loose.

“Help me undress,” she whispered after breaking a kiss.

Reaching around her, I found the zipper and began to pull.

“Slowly. This isn’t a race. That’s it.” Her voice was soft and warm as it guided me. Little by little, the zipper came undone. “Now gradually push the—yeah, like that.” I ran my fingertips over the exposed skin of her shoulders before reaching the fabric holding it up. Gently, I pushed it towards her arms, sliding it down. With only a little help from myself, her dress fell away. Her anxiety hit me and I found that she wasn’t wearing a bra.

“You are beautiful,” I whispered before kissing her.

She broke the kiss. “You didn’t even look.” She sounded hurt.

“I don’t need to.”

“Jake.” I froze as she struggled with the negative emotions creeping into her noise. I realized my error. So lost in her noise, I had commented on it without consideration of her. Chloe couldn’t see that. Her validation would come from physical means.

“I’m sorry, Chloe. Your noise is captivating and I lost myself in it for the moment.” I took a step back and did my best to smile. At the same time, I ran my eyes over her. She was embarrassed, but even so, there was an eager anticipation. She longed for my approval—and was afraid of not receiving it. I was about to comment on how gorgeous she was but thought it would sound hollow. Instead, I stepped towards her. Reaching out, I ran my fingertips across the smooth skin of her chest. Keeping it slow, I ran them down to the small swell of her breast.

Her skin was so soft and warm. The sensation on my fingers was new as I used my hand to caress her. She let out a soft breath as emotions indicating arousal flooded her noise. My finger brushed against her small pink nipple, causing her to take a sharp breath. As my hands explored her body, my eyes met hers. Her noise was quivering with part excitement and part fear. She was struggling to form that emotional connection she craved. The connection I was unable to give.

“I wish…” I whispered as my hands trailed down her flat stomach. “I could show you…”

“Don’t,” she said, holding my gaze. “You accept me for who I am. It’s only fair I do the same for you.” She was struggling though. I felt it in her noise. How desperately she wanted to be with me beyond what my physical touch could bring. In that moment, we truly understood how monumental the divide between us was. I could understand her language, but not speak it. Chloe couldn’t even hear my native language, let alone begin to understand it.

But here we were. Desperately trying to communicate because the effort was worth it. Not a single second wasted. Every word filled with our hopes that we could understand each other a little better.

I kissed her before looking at her. I needed her to understand. I put everything I could muster into this one moment. It wasn’t much, but I hoped it was enough. “You are the greatest thing that ever happened to me.”

For that brief moment, it was there. Her noise came alive. It flowed around me. Through me. It was only a fleeting moment, but in that time I had gotten through to her. She had a glimpse behind the walls that separated us. Short as it was, it was enough. She was smiling, her eyes tearing up.

“At least you have the talk down,” she said with a light laugh. A laugh that made her noise sing in ways I couldn’t describe.

I gently took her to bed. Lying atop her, I used my lips to tease her skin. I focused on her neck before moving to her collarbone. At the same time, my hands kept busy running along her warm skin. A brush here. A tease there. Her small breasts were obvious targets. Even though they didn’t fill my hand, I enjoyed the sensation of them as I carefully ran my fingers and hands around them.

Chloe was enjoying it. Her breathing had picked up and I even got a few soft moans from her. Her physical reactions weren’t what I focused on. Her noise told me all I needed to know and more. Alexis would have called it a cheat had this been a game. Each time I did something Chloe liked, her noise lit up. I simply repeated the process until it no longer affected her noise in the same way before moving on to a new point. The whole thing was a game far more enjoyable than the ones I played with Alexis. I slowly moved about Chloe’s body, finding the spots and things she enjoyed, then reaping my reward through her noise.

“Oh god,” she moaned with a shudder running down her body. “You…This…First time?”

I planted a kiss near her belly button. She liked that, so I did another near the first. “Yes.”

“This is…Oh god.”

“I’m cheating,” I said as I ran my finger around her navel. “Your noise is an open book to me. It guides me. Based on what I am reading, it allows me to touch you like this.” Her noise lit up as she gasped.

Head back against the bed, her chest rose and fell with her shallow breaths. “Don’t stop reading then,” she panted. “Please don’t stop reading.”

I was smiling again. I felt it, yet it didn’t immediately fade like the others had when I noticed it. Instead, it lingered for several seconds before gradually fading. There was no time to consider any of that. Chloe deserved my full attention.

My kissing continued lower. Worry and anticipation spiked in her noise. I looked up to find her staring.

“Are you—”

“Yeah.”

“You don’t—”

“I want to,” I said as I positioned myself between her legs. “Alexis said that—”

Like a switch, her noise flipped. I knew my mistake the moment her name left my lips. All the work until now was gone as her noise was a mix of emotions. It was like a heavy metal band started playing in the middle of a symphony performance. Her noise was chaos.

“Sorry.”

“I-it’s fine.” Her noise told me otherwise.

“I can see it’s not.” Chloe was struggling with her noise, trying to suppress the negative emotions she felt. The biggest of them all was jealousy. “I was worried I would be unable to perform acceptably, so I asked her for advice. She’s quite experienced in this area and gave me some tips.” I paused to read her noise. “I ruined the mood.”

“No… No, you didn’t. I’m just…” Her jealousy flared again as she wrestled with it. “It’s stupid. I’ve been with nine guys this week and hearing you talk about another girl?”

Pulling away from her, I moved up so we were equal. “Alexis is an important person in my life. Natalie is too.”

“I know…I said it was stupid, right?”

“I love them.” Her eyes widened as her mouth opened. “But they are not you. They can never be you just as you can never be them. You are the sun in my sky, Chloe. You will forever be my source of growth, but a plant still needs soil and air.”

She started laughing. She fought it at first, but it overpowered her. With her laugher, it washed the jealousy and negative emotions away. “Sorry. Sorry,” she said through her gasps for air. “You just—” She lost herself for several more seconds. With deep breaths, she fought for control again. “Oh god,” she sighed, rubbing at her stomach. “Your analogies are so freaking weird and you say them with that perfect deadpan voice and straight face. I just can’t—” She snorted before devolving into a fit of giggles.

Eventually she calmed herself. Her smile lingered as she stared up at me. “I really want to continue,” she whispered. I kissed her before wordlessly moving down to continue where I’d stopped. Anticipation swirled, but the jealousy was still there. I had an idea on how to get her thinking about something else.

She was shaved bare as my head lowered between her legs. I wasted no time. Opening my mouth, I ran my tongue along her wet slit. The effect was immediate. Her voice and noise were in unison, crying out in pleasure and joy as I did my best to follow Alexis’ advice. I varied my speed slightly until I found one that worked best and stuck with it. The one thing she had drilled into me was for the first time, find something that worked and continue until I got her to cum. Experimenting could come later. The goal was to make an impression, and from her moans, I wanted to believe I was.

“Jake,” she gasped, her legs pressing against my head. “Right there, Jake. Right there!”

She was using her voice to repeat what her noise was already telling me. My jaw hurt, but I pushed onward. Focused on her joy and excitement, I failed to notice the euphoria building in her noise until it was too large to ignore. By now, she was panting my name, begging me to continue. Her passionate cries were growing higher and more frequent as her euphoria began growing faster with it. There were only seconds until it would fill her entire noise.

This powerful, I could feel it through the walls of my mind. How had I not noticed this? This was dangerous. The amount already filling me in addition to what I saw in her noise—

Her orgasm cracked the walls of my mind as I found myself awash in a feeling I was ill-prepared for. The breach expanded as a tsunami of her Gift pushed the already sizable amount into my mental fortress, overwhelming the walls and sending it crumbling.

Suddenly, I could feel.

Everything.

I gasped as my Gift opened up to the world. I lost Chloe’s noise in the ocean. I desperately tried to grab hold of my Gift, but it was exploding outward. Chloe… The neighbors… The apartment building… Singular noises turned to dozens, hundreds. So many emotions. Pain, joy, and everything in between. All screaming at me with no end. All fighting for my immediate attention.

Then it stopped. Chloe’s Gift had spent itself as the euphoria settled the walls of my fortress sprang back to life rebuilding itself in an instant. The effect had a toll on my body. There was a quiver in my hand and it felt like I had been holding my breath. My vision still swam from the echoes of the pain that had been there moments before.

“…Amazing.” My head turned up to Chloe. Collapsed back on the bed, she was breathing hard. Her noise seemed to be glowing in a most peculiar way. The euphoria of her Gift was different. It wasn’t the overbearing emotion it was when I met her after school. Instead, it seemed to be woven through her noise, supporting it rather than dominating it. Eye meeting mine, her smile was filled with euphoric bliss that was different than the one I was used to seeing. “You are amazing.”

I said nothing, focusing inward. I had absorbed a lot of Chloe’s Gift. A lot. It pressed heavily against my mind but was unable to push through the defenses. It was the mental equivalent of drinking so much water you could feel it swishing around your stomach.

“Everything okay?” she asked as she propped herself up. I looked over at her and smiled.

“Fine.” I crawled up to her and she pulled me into a kiss. Breaking the kiss, she had a grin that said she wasn’t finished yet. If anything, her noise was even more ready than it had been before.

“Shall we continue?”
