A Social Network Role Playing Game

Back in the early days, VR wasn’t like it was now. Back then you had to wear a headset that displayed what you were doing visually and had to physically interact with the game. This limited what titles could do and made it difficult for there to be what could be called a “game”.

Fortunately, this era of VR spawned a unique type of online game. While it didn’t have a name for it then, this genre would adopt the name “Social Network Role Playing Game” or SNRPG for short. Basically you could choose what you wanted to be as your avatar, be it an original character or some popular mainstream character, and then act out a fantasy with others or just hang out in virtual space. As VR developed further, so did SNRPGs. When full dive technology was developed, SNRPG’s popularity went through the roof. Not only could you role play as someone else, you could experience it artificially.

After a final check, Isabella was ready to start. All she had to do was climb out of the crib and into the public space in front of her.
