Allegra is standing at the top of the stairs, dressed in a far more utilitarian manner than you're used to as if she were about to go on a hike, complete with a large backpack. She's reaching for something at her leg when she recognizes you and stops.
"Morgan!? What the hell are you doing here?" She walks towards you at a cautious pace, looking at you with distrust.
"I was worried about you, your apartment was a mess but there was a map..." Going through all of this to have Allegra treat you with borderline hostility hurts, your voice is deflated. But as you mention the map Allegra's demeanor changes entirely. She suddenly runs down past you and starts looking out a window.
"I thought I...Morgan there's a back door. We're leaving, right now." She grabs your hand and starts to pull you into the building. You open your mouth to ask what she's talking about when you hear a horrible noise. It sounds like a bat's screech but much deeper and louder. The front door splinters as something throws its' weight against it. Before you can see anything Allegra yanks you through a back door and the two of you are running through an alleyway. "My car is close we just need to get to it!". You can just make out the sound of a door breaking to splinters followed by more horrible shrieking. You realize in horror that there's more than one of whatever is chasing you, with another screech coming from somewhere above.
