Chapter 13

What Is It?

A Rubber Dragon

At the end of the corridor, you spot another metal door. But looking closer, it has some sort of odd symbol on it. You jump back as it suddenly opens.

And then realize it's automatic. You slowly walk in and are greeted by a dim room filled with odd tubes filled with different colours of goo, no doubt more of the latex. Who is behind all of this? You jump as the door shuts behind you.

Your advanced sight then spots a lone desk with a journal on it. Somebody's diary?

Interest piqued, you walk over to read it. You pick it up slowly, not wanting to accidentally shred it with your claws. You ponder for a few seconds. Maybe the latex outbreak stemmed from this?

However, before you can find out, the door to the room opens, and you spin around to meet eyes similar to yours.

"Isn't it beautiful?" A male voice says.

Your reptilian eyes look on in puzzlement.

As your sight adjusts to this new creature, you notice he is made of latex, just like every other organism you've seen tonight. Although he isn't what one would consider a "natural" animal.

He's a very large jet black dragon, a head taller than your new lizard self. Two large wings sprout from his back. You notice he's got quite a package down below, but you know now is not the time. But as if seeing a dragon wasn't surprising enough, that's not what catches you off guard. What does, however, are his wild slitted red eyes. Unlike the pure hatred of the purple wolf you saw earlier, his eyes are mad. Unreadable.

"I'm sure you're wondering who I am exactly."

The rubber dragon says.

You glare at him and realize he's the only latex animal man you've seen speak tonight. He merely smirks at you, those red eyes seem as if they read your every move.

"I am the one that started this rubber experiment." He says, and points to the journal you're still holding, and your eyes widen in pure shock.

What Will You Do?
