A Pretty Face

You spent the past couple of days following Lily’s advice. You washed your hair, used the conditioner and brushed your hair multiple times. You started to notice your face looked softer and your skin was clearing up. Yesterday you had gotten a text from Lily asking you to come in 30 minutes earlier so she could spend some time applying her makeup.

“Wow! You look so cute! I can see your hair is already starting to look better! Now, to start today, I want you to take this razor and shave off any facial hair that you have. It will look weird under the foundation. Oh! And shave your armpit hair again. I can clearly see it’s still bothering you.”

You didn’t really mind shaving off your facial hair since you could barely grow any. After shaving your face you quickly shaved your armpits and put on Lily’s degree deodorant, thankful to hopefully get rid of your shave irritation. You return to Lily where she hands you a soy latte and says “let’s get to work.”

Lily spends the new 20 or so minutes applying makeup to your face and playing with your hair. “You have a really cute face! I’m just adding a little foundation to cover your blemishes and just evening it out. Now for your lips I have a nude lip gloss that will do wonders to get you smooth fuller lips.” Next she pulls out some tweezers and starts shaping your eyebrows before turning you to the mirror and saying “there. Much better. No more hiding this pretty face!”

You are shocked by your appearance. Staring back at you is a pretty face that looks more feminine then masculine. “Alright Alex, now lets get to work” and just like that Lily bounces to the cafe to open the doors.

The day goes by pretty quickly and you are amazed at how many tips you are getting. Towards the end of your shift the rush starts to die down. Lily comes up to you and gives you a big hug and says “see how just a little makeup can make all the difference? Personal hygiene isn’t about looking masculine or feminine. It’s about highlighting your features. Now let’s do something about your nails.”

You start to question her with why do you need to have anything done to your nails, but then you remember how much you made in tips and decided it’s better not to question the expert.

While Lily goes to get her nail kit you make yourself another soy latte and her an iced coffee. As she returns she is grateful for the coffee and begins to file your nails. Halfway through she looks up at you and says “oh sweetie, looks like you smeared your lipgloss on the cup. Here I’ll show you how to reapply. Would you like to stick with the boring nude or go with the more bold pink?”
