Pink

Not wanting to disappoint Lily you murmur “I guess I’ll go with the pink.” Lily pretends not to hear you and asks that you speak up. “I will be bold. I’ll take the pink.” Lily smiles at you and hands you the lipgloss. You quickly put it on your lips as Lily calls you a “good boy” and returns to your nails.

That seemed a little weird. Why was she calling you a good boy? But regardless it made you feel appreciated. You were glad to have a friend in Lily who wanted to help you.

While you were thinking about your situation, you felt Lily start to paint your nails. “What are you doing?” You ask her, not sure why you need to have your nails painted. “I’m just having fun. Your nails looked so sad and naked that I just had to do something about it. Plus it’s important to always match your nails to your lips.”

Feeling powerless in the situation you let Lily finish your manicure. You don’t say anything else about the nails as you don’t want to hurt her feelings after she spent so much time and energy helping you.

The rest of the week goes by in a flash. You’re amazed at how much you were tipped this week. Multiple people, both men and women, complimented your hands while the lipgloss was doing wonders for your lips.

Even your weekly review went okay. You still needed to make more money to cover your costs but you were at least on pace to come close.

It wasn’t until the following week that disaster struck. You had just allowed Lily to repaint your nails during your break. You went to go back to work when you realized that you knocked over the pink nail polish onto your shirt and pants.

“Hey Alex, it’s okay! I have my gym bag again. Go put on my stuff. I can cover until you are back.”
