A Powerful Curse

"Do your worst, monster." Was all Leona said. She had her faith. She had her power. She knew that she would overcome anything that this witch could throw at her.

"Inspiring." Torrentia said flatly.

"As I said, I was considering the matter. I decided that the most fitting way would be a curse. No matter how much physical and mental resistance you have, magic is still magic."

She snapped her fingers, and in and instant a huge glowing pink pentagram appeared on the ground in front of them. Leona took a step backwards from a sudden shock wave of force. The maid standing closest to it was even knocked off her feet. This was no amateur's spell.

"Please step into the center, darling." Torrentia said.

Leona sighed. She was right of course. Magic would still be effective on her. But, the effects one could achieve with such magic was limited. The mind and the body could be changed through a simple spell, but the soul could not. Further, the more drastic the change inflicted, the easier it would be to shake.

There was no further choice at the moment. She would simply need to withstand the spell and await for the first slip up from her captor.

Leona walked into the center of the pentagram and snarled.
