Chapter 9

What does she see?

A Note

Jane did not see Liara or her clothes anywhere when she looked from behind the tree. What she did see, however, was a slip of paper folded neatly on the ground. Cautiously, Jane stuck her bare foot out from behind the tree and used her toes to grab it, bringing it to her as she picked it up and opened it. Jane could see that it was a note, that was obvious, but her eyes bugged out as she read it.

Hello Jane.

While thinking about how to start our little game, I noticed a common theme in about 89% of the ENF stories in your history. That theme being that the victim ends up with their clothes stolen and is **** to make a humiliating trek home without being caught; sometimes **** to use improvised cover made out of boxes, bushes, trash can lids, and the like. I must admit this sounds amusing, humorous even.

As you're reading this, I am already on my way back to your home with your clothes. Don't worry, I won't do anything with them. However, I can't help but notice that clothing destruction is a common theme in 31% of the stories in your history...

I'm kidding, Jane. Or am I...?

I do hope that you aren't too mad at me when you get back home, Jane. I promise to make it up to you and make this worth your while.

Good luck, Jane. Although, with what we went through during the war, I doubt you'll need it.

Love,

Liara
