A New Day Dawns

"I don't know this ceiling."

Dave blinked. He was surrounded by the girls in his new bedroom and his phone hadn't gone off yet. His phone... he slapped his forehead. "I left Pepper in the kitchen on the counter! Oh geez... sorry, Pepper."

(("Oh, you finally remembered me?")) Her voice in his ear sounded more amused than upset... but it was hard to tell with ladies, AI or not.

Dave nodded. "I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you... those upgrades? Move them to the top of the "to do" list. "

((*Sigh* "I wish I could but you have other pressing matters in order of importance. I will move them closer to the top though... You haven't slept in too much. It's 7am your current global position on Saturday morning and while I'd like to let you sleep in-"))

Dave nodded. "I have things to do today. Better get up... I'm getting up..." he started to settle back into bed clising his eyes. "In fifteen minutes... let me sleep for just... fifteen more..."

(("I can't do that, Dave. Get up, Mister."))

Dave grunted.

(("Now."))

He sighed and opened his eyes. "Fine." He rubbed at his eyes. "You're right as usual..."

"Who are you talking to?" He looked over and saw Harley face down snoring away cutely and turned the other direction to see Melfina looking at him. He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "Pepper. Good morning, Mel."

Melfin smiled and kissed nose giggling. "Good morning, Dave. It must be time to get up then? Tink already got up to head for the bathroom."

Dave nodded. "She's probably all energized and ready to go. Happy feelings make her like that. This one though..." he spanked Harley's butt lightly. "Wake up, Harls."

"Whazzat?" Harley mumbled looking up bleary-eyed then went back facedown in the pillow. "Fug naw."

He sat up and so did Melfina. "See what I mean?" Melfina giggled. "We got work to do, Harls."

"Ah quit..." she mumbled. "Ah tendah mah rezignashon effvectiv immebiachely."

Melfina giggled swinging her legs and self out of bed and then helping Dave to his feet. He wasn't much better than Harley apparently... but he was up. He stumbled to the bathroom door to splash water on his face and brush his teeth. "Denied by order of the boss."

"Da bosh ib an ashhole," she muttered. "I ahpeal tah higher ahbhoriby!"

"What higher authority?" Melfina asked getting dressed.

Tink fluttered in. "Pepper," she said. "And she already said I could water balloon you if you don't get up. So get your lazy clown butt up!"

Harley rolled over as Melfina giggled switching with Dave in the bathroom as he got dressed. "I get no respect."

Dave kissed Tink then leaned in and kissed her. "Nope... you'll just have to settle for love, my sweet... and pancakes?"

Harley smiled. "Ok, deal. Love, pancakes and coffee, Puddin'! I'll be ready to start the day."

Dave kissed her again then Tink who nodded. She knew the routine. Melfina followed him to the kitchen talking about what he was going to make for them.

Tink hovered over Harley just out of arms reach. "I don't see ya moving bitch. Do I get the water ballons or not?"

Harley glared at her. "Yer despicable in the mornings, ya know that bitch?"

Tink shrugged. "I can live with that. What's it gonna be?"

Harley sat up and swung her legs out of the bed. "I give. I'm up. I'm up... I'm... up..."

Tink rolled her eyes and dragged her to her feet then pushed her towards the bathroom. "Come on, Harls! Enough already. It's Saturday but you got stuff to do. I got furniture to finish, sorting this place out with Mel, meeting with the work crews and getting the other rooms ready for the next girls. And you gotta go in to work with Dave to interview the candidates for us. So get yer but moving!"

Harley blinked at that and nodded. "Thanks, Tinky. Sorry I'm a bother."

Tink kissed her on the cheek. "Yer worth it bitch and we love you. Now go get changed into Harleen, 'kay?"

Harley nodded smiling and put her glasses on. "Ok... game on."

"How's this one?"

Dave looked and smiled nodding. "That's perfect, Melfina! See. I knew you'd get the hang of cooking quickly." He smiled at her. "Do you... want to talk about last night?"

Melfina blushed but nodded. "A little. I... I really liked... that. And I... I..."

Dave put his arms around her from behind and kissed her cheek. "I'm glad and you made me very happy. Let's go at your pace. No pressure. Ok, Melfina?"

Melfuna smiled happily, leaning against him and nodded. "Alright... but maybe not, "too slow"... thank you... I... I lah..." she blushed. "Why is it so hard to say this morning?!"

Dave kissed her cheek again. "There's no rush. Maybe you were caught up in the heat of the moment yesterday. It happens. Take your time. When you're ready, you're ready. I meant it when I said no pressure."

She nodded. "Being a person is confusing sometimes, isn't it? Or is that just me?"

Dave smiled and nodded. "No, it's that way for everyone I think. It's part of what makes a person, a person." He shrugged and started pulling out coffee cups for everyone and filling them. Melfina was surprised. It looked like everyone had their own cup. There was a black and red one with diamonds like Harley's suit and one with fairy wings like Tink's. "Though speaking of make sure you listen to Tink today. There's lots of things to go over about living on Prime and your 'status' here. Just because I see you as people doesn't mean you have the same rights. Tink can help explain the complicated stuff as you guys work."

He reached into the cabinet and pulled out two more mugs. One with Custom Character Creations on it and a fourth that had a funny little tilted golden ring on it. One that looked a lot like her anklet! "Is that?"

Dave nodded. "This one is yours. I hope you like it." He showed her inside the cabinet. Some of the girls already had mugs ready and waiting for them. She saw a purple one with golden triangles and one with a simple black cat on it. She looked at "her" mug and smiled. It was such a thoughtful gesture. "Thank you... I love it! I promise I'll work hard with Tink today!"

Tink fluttered in with Harleen Quinzel going straight to the coffee. "Yeah no problem! Mel and I can handle things here for the morning. When's the next character coming here?"

Dave talked to Tink about Hilda and Dorothy as Melfina tried not to stare at "Harleen". Harleen sighed and nodded. "Yeah, Mel. It's me. This is my "work persona" as Dr. Harleen Quinzel. It's a bit more professional. What do you think?"

Melfina nodded and smiled. "It certainly looks very professional to me ... but... well... I think no matter how you look your inner beauty shines through and I think you're just as lovely. It must be hard for Dave to concentrate at work!"

Harley hugged her. "Melfina's just too beautiful a soul for the likes of us! You're wonderful Mel! You're like Dave and love all the aspects of me! And you're absolutely right! He's always staring at Dr Quinzel with lewd thoughts on his mind! He wants to drag her to the supply closet or bend her over her desk or **** her underneath his desk or- ow!"

Dave had smacked her ass shaking his head. "I do not do those things at work. We're running a professional business and during work hours we keep it professional. If Dr Quinzel fantasizes about such things they need to be off the clock and I suggest she makes a "private appointment" ahead of time before trying to act them out or waiting until she gets home!"

Harleen rubbed her ass but winked from behind her glasses. "See what I mean? Rampant repressed sexual desires. It's a wonder he doesn't attack the other staff and clients! He looks like harmless Dr Jekyll but Mr Hyde is just waiting to burst forth on the scene and ravish someone! And the most likely target is the poor inexperienced but extremely attractive Dr Quinzel who- Mhmmmm.... phankahkes..."

Tink shoved another pancake onto Harley's mouth. "The number one sexual harasser of Dave at work is her. I'll admit I'm bad and blatant about it... but Harley is almost delusional/obsessive in her pursuit, ain'tcha ya sick Juggle-ho?"

"Is that true, Harls?" Melfina asked standing there with a stack of pancakes looking at her.

Harley shaded her eyes. "Gah! Melfina's eyes of purity! It's true! I'm the sexual harrasser at work and it's all directed at Dave!"

Dave lightly bonks the both of them on the head. "The truth is they're both awful, Mel. Don't let Tink fool you... but they do great work and dispite how bad they act behind closed doors they're both great with the clients... and truth be told I wouldn't have it any other way. They keep the day interesting and lively. Now hurry up and eat." He kissed each of their cheeks. "We got a busy morning ahead of us."

"Awwww!" They both said making Melfina giggle.
