A Marriage - 1
As we exited the cinema hall, I turned to face Raghav Ji with a polite but firm expression. "Bhai saab," I said, "I'm sorry, but it's getting late. Let's meet some other day."
Raghav Ji's face fell, and he feigned disappointment. "Bhabhi Ji, I'm sad that we couldn't continue our private activities from the theater," he said, a hint of longing in his voice.
Seizing the opportunity to spend more time with me, Raghav Ji asked, "Can I drop you home, Bhabhi Ji? I insist."
Suspicious of his intentions, I couldn't help but smirk teasingly. "I can just book a cab for myself, Bhai saab," I replied, trying to gently deter his advance.
Either undeterred or simply eager to extend the evening's interactions, Raghav Ji stepped in to help. "Allow me to book it for you," he offered, his fingers dancing over my phone's screen with practiced ease.
As we waited for the cab to arrive, Raghav Ji leaned in close, his warm breath tickling the shell of my ear as he whispered, "Bhabhi Ji, next time, it won't stop at just me climaxing alone."
My cheeks flushed at his suggestive words, betraying my growing arousal. Quickly composing myself, I climbed into the cab without another word, leaving Raghav Ji waving goodbye.
The whirlwind of wedding season swept through our lives, and the days that followed were marked by exhaustion as Alok and I attended one function after another. Despite the chaos, Raghav Ji and I continued engaging in late-night chats, each interaction more flirtatious than the last.
I chose to respond casually, trying to maintain a cautious distance and not let our exchanges spiral out of control. The end of the week approached, and with it, another wedding invitation. This time, Alok's colleague, hailing from a wealthy family, was getting married at a grand hall on the outskirts of the city. To avoid the hassle of multiple trips, a hotel was booked for the guests.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning, completing the check-in process swiftly.
As Alok hurried off to his work, I opened the wardrobe and began arranging our outfits for the upcoming events. The Sangeet in the afternoon, the wedding at night, and the reception the next day each required a different ensemble. I carefully hung up our clothes, taking pride in my organizational skills.
Frustrated by Alok's workaholic nature, I marched towards the bathroom to freshen up. An hour later, I stood on the balcony, admiring the view while adorned in a stunning pink Lehenga. Alok could be heard outside, engaged in a phone call as he paced the hallway.
Slightly annoyed by his preoccupation with work, I decided to head out for the afternoon festivities without waiting for him. I strode out of the room with a purpose, ready to enjoy the Sangeet and mingle with the other guests.
As I descended the stairs, I spotted a sign directing me towards the grand hall where the Sangeet was already in full swing. Entering the vibrant space, I was greeted by the sight of a captivating dance performance unfolding on the stage.
Scanning the room, I caught sight of a group of familiar faces - the wives of Alok's colleagues. Approaching them with a warm smile, I was welcomed into their midst.
"When did you arrive?" one of the women asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
"Just about an hour ago," I replied, settling in amongst the group.
The women continued to gossip, their conversations flitting from one topic to another. Through their chatter, I learned that the bride's family was politically connected, with many influential figures from their side in attendance.
As the mention of politics piqued my interest, an image of a certain man flashed through my mind, causing me to chuckle inwardly.
Just as I became engrossed in the banter, I heard my name called from behind. I turned to find Alok emerging from the crowd, a hint of guilt in his expression. He greeted the group with a nod before pulling me aside for a private conversation.
"Why did you come down here alone?" he whispered urgently in my ear.
My irritation resurfaced, the memory of his workaholic tendencies still fresh. "Since you were busy, I decided to leave you to your work," I replied, slightly annoyed.
Alok's expression softened, regret evident in his eyes. "I'm sorry for leaving you alone, Sanjana. A client was having some issues, and I got caught up trying to sort it out. But please, don't feel neglected. You're the most important person to me," he murmured, gently taking my hand.
I couldn't stay mad at him for long. His touch and sincere apology melted away my irritation. "It's okay, Alok. I understand how demanding work can be," I reassured him, squeezing his hand.
For the next half an hour, Alok introduced me to a few of his colleagues and clients, engaging in casual business conversations. As he spoke, my eyes roamed the room, taking in the sea of unfamiliar faces. Suddenly, a flash of dark hair caught my attention - it was Raghav Ji, standing across the room and deep in conversation with a group of men.
A smile tugged at my lips as I caught his gaze, but I quickly averted my eyes, not wanting to draw attention. Focusing back on my husband, I nodded and smiled as he introduced me to yet another acquaintance.
