A Little Bit of a Bonus

The shopkeeper blinked a couple times then seemed to wake up in a sense. When she looked at John she now smiled.

“Oh John! I can’t believe I almost forgot I know exactly where the directions are.” She dusted a small box she pulled from under her desk. Opening it up she pulled out a small Pamphlet and handed it to John.

John began to read it and realized just how important these directions were. They detailed all kinds of hidden features and subcategories of roles. John folded it in half and placed it in his pocket. He slowly began to make his way to the door to leave.

“John, leaving so soon? I haven’t even given any surprises to you yet. Come here.” She then waved John back over to her.

When John arrived to her she retrieved something from another glass case. It looked like a name tag. “Now John, this is another special item. As long as you wear it you will know the name of everyone around you as well as their age and relationship to you.” The shopkeeper said to John proceeding to hold it out to him.

John took the tag and put it on. He now knew that the shop keeper’s name was Margaret and she was ….217 years old. Your relationship was favorite customer.

Now John had a better understanding of the device he now held and also had received an extra somewhat useful item. He went to leave when Margaret called to him one more time.

“John catch!” She said tossing a small bracelet to John “This will let you come back here anytime put it on then open any door! I don’t know why I haven’t given you one before! Ta ta now!”

With that John opened the door and the place seemed to disappear behind him. Now he had a whole world out to explore.
