A Late Arrival

We both opened the door, after using our magic to right ourselves.

A few students looked back at us, including one Hermione Granger. Her disappointment told me all I needed to know, it must have been obvious to the class what we were doing.

My eyes noticed badges that many were wearing, with the words Support Cedric Diggory

and Potter Stinks on them.

But as the lady crossed her arms, my attention went elsewhere.

Aurora looked angry. In a terrifying, but somehow really sexy way. Her anger seemed to be completely directed at Padma.

Aurora's eyes looked Padma up and down, almost as if she had forgotten to cast a cleaning spell on herself from our past activities, but when I looked Padma over she was spotless. Still Aurora seemed to know.

"Patil is it," said Aurora, "I take truancy very seriously." The professor's lips visibly shook with anger. She hadn't so much as even looked at me.

"It was the first time I was late," said Padma,"first time we were late."

"Your actions can get you in a lot of trouble young lady," said Aurora. There was so much tension in this room. Why was it all directed at Padma?

It was probably my turn to speak.
