A Kiss

Kim did what felt natural and kissed him. Ed froze at first, not pulling back, then slowly moving his arms around her holding Kim close to him. He felt strong, his arms safe and warm. They broke off looking into each other's eyes for a moment until the situation dawn of Kim. Her cheeks flushed and she back away out of the door.

"I-it was nice meeting you Ed" she stammers before turning and quickly speed walking away down the hall. Without turning back she takes the elevator, almost collapsing against its side as she holds her head, her heart thumping in her chest. 'what the hell was that' her mind raced over and over.

Kim sped back to hotel room her and Terra rented. Her best friend, laid out on the couch, head upside down, was memorized by the flashing of the wide screen in her eyes. As soon the door clicks open, the dye blue haired girls trance breaks and she hops to her feet in excitement.

"Kim?! Sooooo how was it? Weird? Sappy? . . . Sexy?"

Kim, still I'm a bit of a daze, is overloaded by the sudden furry of energy. The words drift through her head "S-sexy?" The thought comes out her mouth as her friends smile turns mischievous.

"Sit. Now. Tell me Everything"

Terra's smile translates to Kim and she attempts to correct the girl as her friend leads to sit on the couch "N-no . . . I-it's not . . . I mean . . . It was weird ok, he is nothing like Mike. Ed was polite and kind. He seems to have genuinely missed me. It was sweet."

The smile only grows "sounds like little Kim is finally falling for an older man"

Kim's eyes wide she shakes her head "eww no gross, he is still my father"

Terra laughs as the brunettes embarrassment. She presses Kim for more details, getting a run down on the dinner, with exception of the kiss goodbye.

"And you just left?"

Kim nods "yup."

Terra rolls her eyes "so boring, fine fine we'll where are we going tomorrow then?"

The two change gears and start planning out their first week in a new country, Kim trying her best to pack away her confused feelings about meeting her Father.
