Chapter 2 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

What's next?

A Hot Date at Hecksworld

Ten or twenty screams blared from above, a mixture of shrill shrieks and deep howls that caused you to jump in surprise. You looked up, scanning for the faces of any of the tormented individuals. Were they screaming in regret or in exhilaration?

It was a stupid question. They were on a roller-coaster. Not only was there no time to see the faces, but they were all bound to be having a blast anyway.

The knots you felt winding up in your gut as you approached the gates of Hecksworld, the purported “Final Fate of Thrill-Seekers” and scariest park in the world, weren’t actually attributable to any fear of the rides.

After a hard week of work at your programming job, you’d looked forward to getting out from behind your desk for a while and meeting your date. She was into amusement parks, so she’d talked you into it, set it all up, and transferred you the tickets. It seemed too good to be true– you wondered if she was a scammer from that hacker collective you’d heard about in the news.

You continued to be excited about the prospect up until about half an hour past when the two of you were scheduled to meet, during which your couple of hesitant text messages and calls were seemingly ignored. Finally, another message came through.

“Sorry. I had second thoughts. Keep the ticket. Have fun, okay?”

You knew what she meant by “second thoughts.” You’d managed to figure out looking through her dating profile that she’d never dated women before, let alone transexual ones that were open about not having swapped out the hardware. A cynical part of yourself told you that she saw you as just another Hecksworld attraction– something she dared herself to see if she liked, but she chickened out at the last second when it came time to ride.

Now, the hesitation you felt in front of the gate was born of a lack of confidence, having been recently rejected. Would you have any fun here on your own?

You weren’t going to let rejection get you down. In fact, you’d let it make you stronger. You were going to ride the craziest coasters today, all on somebody else’s dime. You’d have so much fun that your match would feel psychic pains of regret later from the sheer amount of fun and charm she’d missed out on.

… So there you were. One long line later with a lot of time to stew inside the boiling oil of your nerves, you found yourself on the Heckrazor. The newest, biggest, baddest, twistiest, bumpiest, highest, fastest– every adjective they could think to ascribe, basically– coaster in the park, if not the world. The faces coming off the coaster mostly seemed to be regretting their life’s choices– one had the pale coloration of recently losing lunch.

Worse yet, you made another uncomfortable discovery at the front of the line. As a lone rider, you were going to be paired up with the next person behind you. The two behind you were clearly a couple and you’d already stepped forward without thinking about it. It didn’t look like the attendants sent off empty seats on this thing. Things were about to get awkward unless-

“Mind if I cut in front of you two lovebirds? Such a cute couple, by the way! Really? You guys are too cool!”

Your eyes widened as another lone woman, her voice charming and full of confidence, made her way in front of the gracious couple, resolving the situation neatly. It was as though she’d read your mind, picked up on your distress, and stepped in just for your sake.

As she stepped past the gate, you realized your luck didn’t end there. Somehow, a goth babe was here at the park by herself, no friend, family, or partner in sight. For just a moment, you thought she’d dressed too hot for the weather, given her oversized black hoodie… then you realized that she’d made up for it by going seemingly with no accompaniment of pants. The hoodie stopped just a bit too low for you to see what she was wearing underneath, but it had the effect of making her look pantsless, showing off her huge, creamy white thighs, pinched into tight, black-and-white patterned stockings. You thought the pattern was a network of spiderwebs at first, but looking a little closer, you realized they were pentagrams.

The stranger’s hair was jet black and crazy long– you sensed she’d normally wear it down, but for today, it was rolled into a tail and tucked into a black cap. Both her cap and her hoodie seemed to advertise Hecksworld, but you got the idea she was a fan rather than an attendant taking pity on you, given that her outfit didn’t match the red devil motif uniform here. Her eyes were dark-lined with heavy makeup and a smoldering brown, almost red color. Plump, black-painted lips curled into a mischievous smile as she noticed you checking her out.

Before you knew it, you were seated with the bar fastened over your lap– the attendant nearly hit the growing hardness between your legs with the metal. The stranger’s ass was wide, almost too wide for the seat next to you. You could feel her softness pushing up against you as she wiggled into place.

“Did I bump you? Tight fit,” she laughed. “Coasters are great places to make new friends, right?”

You gave some awkward answer you barely heard. God. You wished she’d bump you a little more. For the first time in your life, you wished they made coaster seats less roomy.

That dream-like, mind-wandering state persisted throughout the ride. It was intense, sure, but rather than watching the view as it zipped past, the laughing maw of the devil whose mouth you descended into, or the upside down horizon, you were fixated on the reactions of the girl next to you. Her laughter when the coaster was going up, her screams of excitement when it flew down, the little bits of Hecksworld trivia she gave you when the roller coaster slowed its roll at the termination point… all of those would stick with you more than the ride itself.

“So like I was saying, I’m actually a demon succubus and I drain the souls of unsuspecting victims.”

You nodded. Your eyes were currently focused on a strange, metallic silver pendant in the shape of a goat’s head that had loosened itself from her hoodie, resting on a chain around her neck. Its eyes were hollow and dark, but with two narrow, red, cross shaped slits deep inside the sockets.

“That was a test to see if you were paying attention! You failed.”

Your eyes darted up from the jewelry to the cheeky grin on her face. You gave a sigh of relief, seeing she was still smiling.

“You’re kind of jittery, ha ha!”

You protested that this was a normal time to be kind of jittery. It was the craziest coaster in the world.

“You’re here by yourself, right? Wanna hang out? The Heckrazor is just the tip of the iceberg here at Hecksworld. There’s a lot you’re going to want to see.”

You couldn’t believe your luck. All you could do was nod dumbly along with her suggestion, before babbling out the reason why you were alone here in the first place. Idiot! That was a depressing subject to bring up with a stranger.

“Hey, it’s her loss. This park’s the best, even before you have somebody cool to spend it with. I’m going to enjoy teasing you till the park closes.”

You gulped. You needed to summon some normal conversation into your dry mouth, something better than “I too am looking forward to being teased all day.” Finally, you came to the right starting point: your name.

The goth girl’s teasing smile softened. “I like it. Not to pry, but that’s a name you came up with yourself, right?”

You nodded.

“I’m the same, in a way.”

Your eyes momentarily flicked down to the unseen spot beneath the lap of her hoodie. She laughed.

“Not like that! I mean I also picked my own name. I’m Heidi… it looks and sounds a lot cuter than ‘Heidrun.’ Who names a kid that?”

Heidrun… “Run and hide.” You said it out loud by accident.

“Ha ha ha! Now you see why I don’t like that name. Who’d be afraid of me, anyway?”

Embarrassed, you laughed along. You weren’t sure why your brain suddenly flashed that message at you. You pushed it away. Heidi, that’s what you’d call her. You were still searching for more small talk to make as you walked behind her. You followed her lead and tried not to stare too obviously at the rise and fall of the obscene curvature of her glutes… but it wasn’t easy.

Finally, some small talk occurred to you. You asked her about that goat-headed pendant.

“Hmm… That’s a secret.”

You gave another small chuckle. A secret? Hearing that only made you want to know more.

“How about this, then? I promise I’ll tell you why I’m wearing it if you answer a question for me. Something that’ll help me plan out our day together here at Hecksworld.”

It sounded harmless enough. You nodded.

“Answer honestly without getting embarrassed,” she instructed you, pausing to adjust her cap and get her thick, dark bangs out of her eyes before continuing. It seemed like she was staring straight into your soul now. “How scared would you like to be?”

Once again, you laughed along, trying to match her pace. This time, you failed. She wasn’t laughing… her deep, almost crimson eyes were drilling into you. Her face was still smiling, but almost mask-like, concealing another intention.

“Answer me honestly,” she repeated. “How scared?”

You needed to choose: play it **** or tough?

How scared would you like to be?
