A Friend "helps" her with her clothes

It wasn't long before Malon spotted an old friend, or rather, an old friend spotted her.

"Malon! Malon, is that you?"

Malon turned and saw Lydia, a friend of hers with chestnut brown curls and an outgoing personality. "Lydia! How long as it been?"

Lydia greeted her in a warm hug. She was always friendly, and sometimes a bit too friendly, and never gave much thought to privacy or personal space. "Ugh, it feels like ages! What brings you here to the city? Are you free?"

"For a while," Malon said. "In a few hours I have to make a milk delivery to the castle."

Lydia grinned. "I can't believe that out of all the cows in Hyrule, Princess Zelda drinks your milk. I'm not calling her a cow. Or you. Um, unbelievable!"

Malon smiled. "So she's still going by Princess Zelda, is she? She's not calling herself Queen?"

Lydia shook her head. "Oh, no. Her coronation is still … uncoronated. Hold on. You're going to the castle today? The castle castle? Wearing that?"

Malon looked down at her clothes. They were nice by her standards, but for a girl working on a ranch, nice met clean, and not covered in dirt, straw, and cow … leavings, so perhaps her white blouse, ankle length skirt, and work boots weren't suitable for going to the castle.

"But I'm just making a delivery," Malon said. "It's not like I'm going to see the princess herself."

Lydia pointed a finger at her. "You. Don't. Know. That. For all you know, Princess Zelda might be out for a walk around her grounds, or be looking out her window. Do you really want her to see you wearing that?"

Malon looked down at her clothes again, feeling more and more self conscious. "Um, do I?"

"No! No you do not!"

"But, I don't have anything else to wear!"

"Not a problem!" Lydia said. "I'll fix you up with time to spare, and when I'm done with you, you'll make an appearance that Zelda will never forget!"
