A Fresh Start

Nadia and Leon went to see “Glass Eden” at the movies. Eden. A thirty something heroine. Struggling with PTSD. Car accident. Lost her husband. She finds out that it was all a conspiracy for her husband to fake his ****.

“What did you think?” Leon asked. He was a tall African man from Nigeria. Thick accent. Bald. Tall. Fit body. Big hands. Everything Nadia now liked in a man. They had matched on a dating app — but Nadia had made it clear she only wanted to be friends for now. Get to know each other without anything romantic.

“It was kinda —“ Nadia was at a loss for words. She thought the movie was ridiculous. It was so obvious that Eden's husband was suspicious. Eden was such a dumb character too. Always making the wrong choices.

Nadia looked different. A makeover. It had been two months since she started work at The Pony. Alice had made a mark on Nadia.

Nadia had a short bob cut. Messy. Jagged. Fringe. Alice had cut it herself. Nadia hated it at first but it grew on her. No more long ponytails. A tattoo of a dove on her left shoulder blade. Dark lipstick and eye shadow. She bought some edgy metal t-shirts with Alice.

Nadia and Leon walked back the long way to The Pony. Talking about their mutual experience in not going to university.

“I was going to go… but my father was struggling with money… So I helped with the shop,” Leon said.

“I got married — my husband… um ex-husband wanted me to be a housewife. I guess I got good at cooking, but I always wanted to go to university…” Nadia said.

“Then let’s go! If you enrol, so will I! There is a community college nearby — Willowford, you know it right?” Leon said.

“But I’m too old…” Nadia said.

“There is never something as too old dear… I’m 35!” Leon said. Leon didn’t look 35. He was certainly mature, but he looked young.

Nadia stepped forward, “If I enroll… You will too?”

Leon smiled, “Oh of course… I am a man of my word.”

Leon dropped Nadia home and she pecked him on the cheek. Leon made a gesture that his heart was bursting from his chest. Nadia giggled.

Nadia turned and was stunned by a package on the ground. It was addressed to Alice. She brought it into the lobby.

“Alice? You have a package,” Nadia said.

Alice rushed down the stairs. She was wet. Her uniform soaked and hair wet. Freckles as always. Her soft breasts outlined.

“Yes! My package!” Alice said, ripping it open.

“Why are you dripping?” Nadia said, but then gasped. The package! It was a massive dildo! Pink. Veiny. Big balls.

“Oh the shower in room 8 was broken… I kinda got sprayed, but Mr Peters liked the show!” She laughed.

“I gotta check this out,” Alice said, running into her bedroom. Nadia stood there with pink cheeks. Alice was shameless.
